Description
Control My Mac turns your iPhone or iPad into a precision remote for your Mac — designed so you can operate everything with one finger, from anywhere in the room. (You'll also install the free Mac companion app — it takes under a minute.)
Move the cursor on a smooth, accurate trackpad. Click, scroll, type, launch apps and switch windows without walking back to your desk. Pair once by scanning a QR code shown by the free Mac companion app, and you're connected.
NOW ON IPAD
Everything is bigger on iPad — a larger trackpad, a roomier keyboard and generous, easy-to-hit controls. And you can make it yours: drag, resize, reshape and stack every module into a layout that fits exactly how you hold your iPad.
BUILT FOR ONE-HANDED USE
Every control is placed within reach of a single finger. Whether you use one hand by preference or by necessity, nothing in the app demands a second hand, a stretch or an awkward grip. Big targets, forgiving gestures, and a layout that works the same whichever hand you hold your device in.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Precision trackpad — fluid cursor movement with clicks and scrolling
• Composer keyboard — write a full message on your device, then send it to your Mac in one go
• Live keyboard — keystrokes appear on your Mac as you type
• App launcher — open your Mac apps from a simple grid
• Window switching — jump between open windows without touching the Mac
• Mac keyboard shortcuts — trigger your Mac's shortcuts from your phone or iPad
• Quick controls and full gestures with Full App
AT THE SOFA, AT THE LECTERN, AT THE DESK
Drive a Mac connected to your TV without leaving the sofa. Present from across the room instead of hovering over your laptop. Or keep your Mac within reach when your hands — or the room — make the keyboard and mouse inconvenient.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-up. No servers. Your iPhone or iPad connects directly to your Mac over your local network or Bluetooth, with the connection encrypted device-to-device. The camera is used only to scan the pairing QR code, and nothing you type or do ever leaves your two devices.
PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY
To work, the Mac app needs macOS Accessibility permission — that's simply what lets it move your cursor and type for you, exactly like a mouse and keyboard would. On iPhone and iPad, the camera is used only to scan the pairing code, and Local Network only to find your Mac. Nothing leaves your two devices.
ESSENTIALS STAYS AVAILABLE. FULL APP IS OPTIONAL.
Try Full App free for 7 days to use every module before deciding. When the trial ends:
• Essentials Plan — free: trackpad movement, click, right click, and basic Keyboard with typed text, Tab, Backspace and Enter
• Full App — €4.99/month, or €19.99 once for lifetime access: scrolling, Composer, Launcher, window switching, Mac keyboard shortcuts, full gestures, presets and quick controls
Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. The lifetime option is a one-off purchase with no renewal.
WHAT YOU NEED
• iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later
• The free Mac companion app (menu-bar app) on macOS 14 or later — download it at controlmymac.com
• Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network), or within Bluetooth range
Set-up takes under a minute: install the free Mac app, scan the QR code, and your Mac is at your fingertip. Not connecting? Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi — see controlmymac.com.
