Meet Viku - a companion that grows with your child At the heart of the app is Viku, a puzzle-piece character that becomes a visual reminder that small actions, repeated over time, can create something amazing. Not a reward machine. Not a monitoring tool. A daily family ritual built on the belief that recognizing effort is not the same as conditioning behavior. Six stages. One journey As children grow, so does Viku. Language, habits, and design evolve across six stages - from toddlers at 3 to teenagers at 16. A 5-year-old has a completely different experience than a 14-year-old, as they are at completely different moments in life. Habits that actually stick Growing up happens in small everyday moments: brushing teeth, helping at home, managing emotions, taking responsibility, learning to wait, or understanding the value of things. Viku helps families build habits across key areas of child development: -Physical wellbeing and hygiene -Responsibility and organization -Helping at home -Emotional awareness -Social skills -Digital balance -Financial education Families can use Viku's age-based suggestions or create their own habits. Financial literacy, from day one Children collect Vikus - a symbolic currency that helps them connect effort with decisions. Their Vikus are divided across four savings jars with real purpose: -Treasures - everyday rewards and small treats -Goals - saving toward a personal goal -Investment - understanding how savings can grow over time -Donation - learning generosity and empathy Families set their own reference value for Vikus. The point isn't the amount - it's the habit of thinking about where effort goes and why. Rewards that make sense Children redeem their Vikus in the Treasure Corner - a family-defined reward space. It can include material treats, experiences, privileges, special plans or shared family moments. Viku doesn't push materialism: many of the most meaningful rewards cost nothing at all. We tried different systems over the years. Some things worked, some didn't. But slowly, Viku started taking shape from what actually stuck with our own kids.
