Ambient Time

Ambient Time turns any screen into a quiet, beautiful clock. Thirty faces, each its own way of telling time. A few of them: • Word Clock: the time spelled out in words, in nine languages plus IPA phonetic transcription. • Dial: a clean analog face, with twelve languages plus IPA for the numerals. • Ransom: cut-and-paste ransom-note letters that reshuffle on the minute. • Binary: hours, minutes, and seconds as glowing binary columns. • Year: how far through the year you are, down to the decimal. • ASCII World Clock: a text-art globe with the hour around the world. • Mandaza: a generative face driven by the same engine as the Mandaza app, never quite the same twice. And two dozen more: an abacus, an hourglass, a water clock, a departure-board transit clock, a pendulum, a French Republican calendar, hex and thermal and moiré faces, and others to find.
