Flock: Event Disposable Camera

This update focuses on making the camera more reliable and the whole photo-taking experience feel as smooth as your phone's built-in camera, plus a few touches that make joining an event quicker. Hosts also get new tools to manage who's in their event, a cleaner settings page, and an easier way to share their invite. CAMERA & PHOTOS • New quick-zoom controls: We've added an zoom bar right above the shutter. Instead of pinching, just tap .5×, 1×, 2× (and any extra lenses your phone has, like 3×) to jump straight to that zoom level. The selected zoom slides smoothly into place with a subtle haptic tap, and the bar automatically shows only the zoom levels your specific device actually supports, so it looks right on every iPhone, from a single-lens model to a Pro. • Selfies now save the right way up: We fixed a bug where front-camera photos could be saved upside-down. Selfies now keep their correct orientation every time, whether you're holding your phone in portrait or landscape. • A more reliable camera, with graceful recovery Some people saw the camera fail to open with a confusing error and no way forward. We've reworked how the camera starts up so this happens far less often. And if the camera ever still can't start, for example, because another app (like FaceTime or the built-in Camera) is using it, you'll now get a clear, friendly message and a "Try again" button instead of a stuck screen, so you can get straight back to capturing the moment. JOINING AN EVENT • Paste your code in one tap You can now tap "Paste code" on the join screen to fill in an event code straight from your clipboard. It even understands a full invite link, so you can copy a shared link and paste it without picking out the code yourself, no more typing six characters by hand. • Clearer code entry: We fixed a display issue where the code characters could look cut off at the top on certain screen sizes. The code now shows in full and looks crisp on every device. HOSTING YOUR EVENT • Manage who's in your event: Hosts can now open the People list and, for any guest, remove them or block them from the event. Removing someone simply frees up their spot and they can rejoin later with the code. Blocking is stronger, the guest is removed, their photos are hidden from the album, and they can't rejoin even if they still have the invite code or QR. • Blocked-guest list, always undoable: Each event now has a "Blocked guests" list in its settings, so you can see who you've blocked for that event and unblock them in one tap if you change your mind. INVITES & QR CODE • Save your QR code to Photos: From the invite screen you can now download your event's QR code straight to your camera roll, ready to print, put on a sign, or share however you like. It saves with a clean white border so it scans reliably on screen or on paper. A CLEANER EVENT SETTINGS PAGE • We redesigned event settings so everything is readable at a glance. Your plan and usage — guests, photos, and time left — sit in one compact summary, with start date, members, and blocked guests as simple rows and the main actions grouped at the bottom. Premium events no longer repeat the perks you already saw when upgrading, so the page stays clean and uncluttered
