Description
MeitenPin is a free, unofficial fan-made tool for quickly finding restaurants featured in "Tabelog Hyakumeiten" (Tabelog's Top 100 Restaurants lists) on a map.
Browse Hyakumeiten data across all genres, all years, and all areas at once. Filter by genre or year, and intuitively explore the acclaimed restaurants in any area you're curious about.
No need to search again every time you move around the map. Just pan smoothly and newly matching restaurants appear right away—keeping the information coming even in areas packed with top restaurants.
Use it for moments like these:
・When you want to grasp the nearby acclaimed restaurants at a glance on a business trip or while traveling
・When you want to rediscover the delicious side of a town you thought you knew
・When you suddenly need a can't-miss restaurant for an important business meal

This update moves from MeitenPin 1.0.1 (3) to 1.0.2 (1).
New user-facing functionality is the Area Analysis map overlay. It uses bundled Hyakumeiten records and bundled administrative-area boundary data to summarize matching stores by prefecture/municipality on device. It does not require sign-in and does not add server-side collection.
Location behavior was refined for map recentering/follow mode. Location remains used only for on-device map display, distance/routing context, and existing optional WeatherKit behavior.
Apple Maps supplemental info remains opt-in; this update improves candidate matching and suppresses obvious mismatches. Apple Maps-derived data is displayed temporarily on device and is not saved or redistributed.
MetricKit diagnostics can be shared manually from About only when local diagnostic files exist; they are not automatically sent.
