Description
S-Tier Eats is a restaurant tier list for The Woodlands, Spring, and the rest of north Houston. Instead of five-star ratings that smear every place into a featureless 3.9-to-4.4 blob, you rank spots the honest way: S, A, B, C, or F.
Your list is yours. The community's consensus is everyone's. Compare them side by side.
RANK THE HONEST WAY
Drop any restaurant into a tier and the app builds two things: your personal S/A/B/C/F board, and the crowd's consensus tier for every spot. No decimals. No inflation. Just where a place actually lands.
DISCOVER WHAT'S GREAT AND CLOSE
• Top-Rated Near Me shows the best community-ranked spots around you, right now.
• Per-cuisine boards rank the best BBQ, sushi, tacos, pho, burgers, and more.
• A fast, clustered map of 3,900+ restaurants across 14 areas — The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, Tomball, Cypress, Champions/FM 1960, Kingwood, Humble, and more.
FOLLOW YOUR PEOPLE
Follow friends and get a Friends board built only from the people whose taste you trust. Share your own tier list with a tap.
SAY WHY
Add a one-line note to any ranking and see what others say about a spot — the context a number can never give you.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED ON ONE SCREEN
Call, get directions, reserve a table, order delivery, or open a menu — right from a restaurant's detail page, when the option is available.
EARN YOUR RANK
Rank more places and climb from Newcomer to Tastemaker.
BUILT FOR THIS PLACE, NOT FOR YOUR DATA
No social feed. No follower counts. No real-name accounts. No personalized tracking. No data brokered to third parties. Built by one person who lives in the area and eats here.
Free to use. An optional one-time in-app purchase removes ads.

Big update:
• Sign in with Apple — one-tap real-name profile setup, verified badge on Foodie Pros
• Share your tier list as an image (Instagram, Messages, Save to Photos)
• Friend links — send a URL, recipients see your board in a tap
• Remove Ads upgrade ($1.99, one-time)
• Cross-device sync now picks up updates in real time
• Cleaner catalog — 42 non-restaurants removed, 71 new spots added (heavy in Magnolia, Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah)
Build 887458891v1.52026-06-29 21:09:42
v1.5 — earn your foodie rank
YOUR FOODIE RANK
• Five tiers — Newcomer, Foodie, Critic, Connoisseur, Tastemaker —
earned by placing restaurants on your tier list. Hit a new tier
and a little celebration fires.
• See your current rank in three places: a tap-target icon on the
Map and Browse tabs (top-left, jumps you to Profile), the Profile
tab itself, and a progress card on My Stats showing how close you
are to the next tier.
CLEANER DISCOVERY
• Restaurants confirmed permanently closed now drop from the Map
and Browse list. They stay in your My Tiers list so your personal
ranking history is preserved.
• Quick tap on the rank icon in the top-left jumps you to the
Profile tab without scrolling through the tab bar.
UNDER THE HOOD
• Smoother admin closure queue — just-decided spots stay gone even
during the brief CloudKit sync window.
• Community tab now opens instantly — fresh rankings are loaded in
the background at app launch.
• Smarter prompts: we'll occasionally ask if you'd rate the app
(Apple's standard prompt, capped to a few times a year) or want
to tip the developer — both fired at meaningful milestones, both
easy to skip.
Thanks to everyone who's been ranking. The catalog keeps getting
tighter because of you.

v1.3 — a big update with everything we've been working on.
BIGGER MAP
• Coverage expanded northwest: Montgomery TX, downtown Magnolia,
Pinehurst, and the Lake Conroe State Park area are now in.
2,600+ restaurants across ten areas.
• Map style picker — switch between Standard, Hybrid, and Satellite
views from the toolbar.
• Pin clusters at max zoom now expand into a tappable list — no
more clusters you can't drill into.
SMARTER BROWSE
• New Tier sort on the Browse tab — see your S-tier picks at the
top of the list, alongside the existing Nearby and A-Z sorts.
PERSONAL TRACKING
• Mark restaurants you've visited. A small green check appears
next to their name on the Browse list so you can see where
you've been at a glance.
• Your visited list syncs via iCloud — survives reinstall and
carries across your iPhone and iPad.
• New My Stats screen in Profile: visited count, S/A/B/C/F tier
distribution, top cuisines, and areas explored.
FASTER + SMOOTHER
• Community tab loads instantly. Your previous view of the rankings
appears immediately while fresh data fills in behind the scenes.
• Add up to 5 dish photos at once with a single tap.
• Photo grids no longer flash empty for a moment when opening a
restaurant.
• Undo a "permanently closed" report you made by mistake — the
button now toggles between Report and Undo as expected.
BETTER FIRST LAUNCH
• Refreshed four-screen onboarding for new users with a clear
explanation before the iOS location prompt.
• Replay the tour any time from Profile → Show app tour.
CATALOG QUALITY
• Multiple cleanup passes removed non-restaurants that Google's
data had been lumping in: vape shops, supplement stores,
shopping plazas, wedding venues, private golf clubs, and more.
• "Permanently closed" reports are now reviewed before they
affect the Browse list — false reports no longer surface as
strikethroughs on restaurants that are still open.
Thanks to everyone who's been ranking. Bug reports and restaurant
suggestions always welcome.

What's new in 1.1:
NEW FEATURES
• Quick actions on every restaurant — tap to Call, get Directions, Reserve a table on OpenTable, Order via DoorDash or Uber Eats, or visit the website. All in one row, all without leaving the app.
• Coverage expanded to 2,348 restaurants (up from 1,854) — new pins added in Conroe and Lake Conroe to the north, Magnolia to the west, and Atascocita to the east. New filter chips for each area.
• Smarter map — pins now cluster as you zoom out so 2,300+ markers don't crowd the screen. Tap a cluster to drill in.
• "Ranked only" filter — flip a chip to hide every restaurant you haven't placed in a tier yet. Your map becomes a snapshot of your taste over time.
• Tier Guide — explainer for the S/A/B/C/F system, shown on first launch and reachable any time from Profile → Tier guide.
• Coffee tip jar — if S-Tier Eats has been useful, the Profile tab now has a quick way to send a tip via Ko-fi. Optional, much appreciated.
• About S-Tier Eats sheet — version info, links to privacy policy and contact, reachable from Profile.
DATA QUALITY
• 11 duplicate restaurant entries merged
• 33 non-restaurants (wellness centers, hotels, convention centers) cleaned out
• 54 restaurants moved to corrected coordinates — some pins were off by miles
• Phone numbers, websites, and per-restaurant signals (reservable, delivery, takeout) populated for every spot where Google has the data
FIXES
• Tier rankings now restore from iCloud after a reinstall or new-device migration — no more empty My Tiers when switching phones.
• Save name and Request Foodie Pro buttons respond on every tap, even when the name field is empty (friendly prompt instead of nothing).
• Search keyboard properly dismisses (Done button, swipe-to-dismiss on the list, or tap the clear button).
• Blocking an uploader now also notifies the moderator team for follow-up.
• Fixed a crash some users saw the first time they opened the Map tab after a fresh install.
POLICY
• A small non-personalized banner ad has been added to the Map and Browse tabs to help keep the app free. No cross-app tracking, no advertising-identifier request, no iOS tracking prompt.
Thanks to everyone who's been ranking.
