Description
SeaBag is the offline-first Navy reference app built for U.S. Navy Sailors. Search messages, check references, run calculators, and keep key career tools close — even when signal is weak or unavailable.
NAVADMIN & ALNAV SEARCH
Search and read Navy Administrative Messages and ALNAVs by number, keyword, subject, or full message text. Open any message, search inside it, and quickly find the section that matters. SeaBag also includes readable summaries to help you get the key points faster.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Get notified when new NAVADMIN or ALNAV messages are released. SeaBag syncs new messages when available, then keeps them ready for offline use.

Browse practical Navy references without needing a browser tab or reliable connection:

Dashboard
- Fixed stale date display when the app stays open overnight or is backgrounded across midnight. The TODAY card (date, DTG, Julian, week number) and Naval History card now automatically refresh on app resume and at midnight without restarting the app.
SRB / Selective Reenlistment Bonus
- SRB Note Definitions — SRB entries now show tappable note reference chips (e.g. Notes 1). Tap any chip to see the full official note text in a bottom sheet. 17 Active notes and 3 TAR notes are currently loaded.
- TAR SRB Parser Fix — TAR (Reserve) SRB data was previously displaying garbage: wrong ceilings, missing plan names, no effective dates. Now correctly parses the three-line TAR PDF layout with accurate award ceilings, multipliers, plan name, and effective date for all 11 TAR ratings.
Data & Sync
- New srb_note_definitions table (schema v10) stores full note text keyed by type, effective date, and note number. Syncs from server on every SRB pull.
- SRB notes field now preserves raw reference numbers (e.g. 1, 2,6, 16,17) instead of truncating or losing them.
- API /api/sync_srb now returns note_definitions alongside entries. API /api/ingest_srb accepts and upserts note definitions from the scraper.
Stability
- Dashboard refresh uses WidgetsBindingObserver lifecycle events + midnight timer instead of relying on manual restart.
- All existing sync tests pass. Zero analyzer issues on changed files.
