Description
Algoritmia is a visual tool for designing, writing, and running algorithms. Built for students and teachers learning or teaching programming, computational logic, and algorithm design.
Create flowcharts by dragging classic shapes onto the canvas, or write the algorithm directly in pseudocode — the app converts between the two representations live. Run the algorithm step by step, watch how variables change, and review the visual output.
FEATURES
• Flowchart and pseudocode synced in real time.
• Complete control structures: conditionals, loops (for/while), multi-way selection (switch/case) and decisions with up to 3 branches.
• Visual step-by-step execution with a halo on the active component and the matching editor line highlighted.
• Built-in trace table: each step shows variables and outputs in a single row. Exportable to CSV and PDF.
• In-app help with reference of all built-in functions and operators (sqrt, round, length, concat, and more).
• Pre-loaded examples: factorial, fibonacci, even or odd, max of three, multiplication table, series sum, sum and maximum of an array, 2D table.
• 17 UI languages, with pseudocode keywords localized in the 14 languages with established pedagogical tradition.
• Folder structure to organize your algorithms.
• Import and export individual files (.dpa) or full collections (.zip).
• Export the flowchart to PNG, the full document to PDF, or copy the pseudocode to the clipboard.
• Light and dark theme follows the system setting.
WHO IS IT FOR
First-year programming students, teachers of algorithms and computational logic, and self-learners who want to visualize the flow of their ideas before coding them in a real language.
