What’s New Version 1.0.5

- Improved engine performance and made colors more dynamic. - Added an advanced processing mode which allows you to produce final video outputs.

Description

This started as a tool, and grew into an obsession. Yr Xtals is seriously addictive. I can, and often have, been working on testing it and ended up draining hours just watching the visualizer dance to my music. It's fantastic. I can't imagine if you like music that you won't like this. Especially if you're an audio engineer and are hoping to gain a bit more perspective on your work. That is why I originally made this, and while it has grown into something much larger, it is still a precision audio analysis utility that I know you'll fall in love with, like I have. Enjoy!

Build 886100298v1.042026-05-25 19:11:35
- Overhauled the GPU FFT Engine, it is much more stable and consistent now. - PiP: With a reliable GPU Backend, PiP was made possible - It can maintain great performance in PiP and full screen modes. - Added "Playback Capture Mode" - It samples a chunk of your music with your phone's microphone and uses it to understand how to dance along to it with you ;D - You have to be playing the music through a speaker, it won't work with headphones on because it can't dance to music it can't hear. So you have to play it out loud! - You can still use Local mode with headphones on, of course, but there's not many people who have raw audio available in their library these days, so I wanted those who only have streaming as a music source to still be able to enjoy my music visualizer. I know you will, I do hope you try it. I made this out of passion for the art of design. I share this purely out of desire to spread love and good vibes with something I know you will find entertaining and spark your curiosity even, because this is my showcase of the raw power of small, simple common audio engineering tricks - all arranged in the right order to create this intricate, life-like dancing music waves. Its like going to a rave but it fits with any kind of music, slow or fast, no matter if you are listing to trap music or bluegrass - it just knows how to dance to anything. A more personal side note: If you find this fascinating and want to understand how it works, I encourage you to learn more about it! It all is possible because of two things: the Fast Fourier transform and the raw power of the modern smartphone. We hold a supercomputer in our hand every day. It is an amazing time to be alive. Explore your curiosity, I have no professional skills that I haven't learned from just following whatever path curiosity lead me down. Keep trying. Whatever it is, keep trying, and you'll understand it eventually, and then before you know it, you'll be great at it. Trying is good, it's how you start. But the important part is that after your try, you refuse to give up. That's what makes the difference. You can do it, it's okay to be bad at something, even if you are bad at it for years, you'll keep improving. If it's your desire to be good at something: just keep doing it. Maybe you spend 5 years being bad at it, I have spent 5 years being bad at lots of things... but after 10 years? I promise, if you practice something every day for 10 years you WILL be good at it. Life is not a race. If you want to be good at something, don't worry about the length of the commitment, just realize that growth takes time, so be easy on yourself. Until you have practiced every day for 10 years, you won't know if you are good or bad at something anyways. Just wait, if you enjoy doing it, then keep doing it. Experience just kinda happens on its own. Best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago. The second best time is today. Enjoy, - Jess
