This is version 1.5 of IsraYeah! - a polish and quality release. No new monetisation, no new IAP products, no new permissions.
WHAT'S NEW IN 1.5:
1. iOS Widget Extension added - shows daily Hebrew word, streak, or next lesson on Home Screen and Lock Screen. Three configurations, three sizes. No data shared with third parties. App Group used: group.com.israyeah.app.
2. Siri Shortcuts via App Intents framework - five shortcuts (open app, daily Hebrew word, last lesson, daily practice, current streak). All actions are existing app functionality, just voice-invokable.
3. Search rewrite - now uses fuzzy matching and bidirectional transliteration (Hebrew/transliteration). All client-side, no network.
4. Audio improvements - voice fallback handling, prompt to download enhanced Hebrew voice via iOS Settings deeplink.
5. Accessibility audit and fixes throughout - VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion respected.
6. Performance optimisations.
7. Bug fixes documented internally.
NO CHANGES TO:
- Premium subscription model (same three IAP products from v1.0)
- Privacy policy (no new data collection)
- Data collection (still none, all local SwiftData)
- Privacy Nutrition Labels
NEW PERMISSIONS: none. Widget uses App Group entitlement only. Siri Shortcuts use AppIntents which require no permission.
HOW TO TEST:
- Widget: add IsraYeah widget to Home Screen, configure to display Hebrew word/streak/next lesson
- Siri: invoke Siri, say "daily Hebrew word"
- Search: tap search in any tab, type with deliberate typos, confirm fuzzy matching
- Audio: Settings → Audio → tap Test Audio
- Accessibility: enable VoiceOver in iOS Settings, navigate the app
PREMIUM TESTING (unchanged from v1.0):
Paywall accessible via tapping any locked lesson (4+) or phrasebook category (11+). Sandbox accounts work for all three products (Premium Monthly $9.99, Premium Annual $49.99 with 7-day free trial, Premium Lifetime $129.99).
