Noise Recorder

Record the noise around you and discover your own sound patterns. Noise Recorder is a personal monitoring tool. It measures ambient noise as a decibel (dB) reading, records audio in segments, and helps you see when your environment is quiet, noisy, or somewhere in between. The goal is to help you understand your own surroundings — not to produce evidence or resolve disputes. No signup, no login, no cloud account. All recordings and statistics stay on your device. --- Features Real-time decibel reading Live dB number plus a scrolling waveform from your microphone. Color-coded levels show quiet, normal, and loud zones at a glance. Automatic segmented recording Recording is split into segments of a length you choose. Segments where every sample stayed below your dB threshold are deleted automatically to save space. Noise event detection The app watches your background noise level and flags sudden spikes. Each spike keeps a 5-second context window of audio so you can listen back and understand what happened. Tags and notes Tag each event with one of the seven built-in sound types (footsteps, thump, construction, water, music or TV, pet, other) or your own custom tags. You can attach an optional reference photo too. Hourly statistics See a 24-hour bar chart of when noise tends to happen and a "quiet time vs noisy time" summary, all derived from your local data. Export Export filtered records as PDF, Excel, or ZIP. You can apply a minimum dB threshold and exclude tags you do not want included. Localization English and Korean. Switch from Settings — change applies immediately, no restart. --- What this app is and is not This app is a personal tool for understanding your own ambient noise. It is not designed to produce official records, evidence, surveillance footage, or material for legal disputes. The numbers and recordings are for your own reference. --- Data and permissions All recordings, photos, and statistics are stored only in on-device storage (Hive and SharedPreferences). Nothing is uploaded to a server we control. The microphone permission is required to measure and record. Camera and photo permissions are only used when you choose to attach a reference photo or share an export. Ads are served by Google AdMob.
