What’s New Version 1.1.1
Bug fixes and reliability improvements:
• Promo codes now redeem more reliably. The app silently re-checks Apple for new entitlements on launch and every time you reopen the app, so a code redeemed in App Store Settings unlocks Gun Number automatically the next time you open it. The in-app "Have a code?" path now actively waits up to 90 seconds for Apple to deliver the entitlement.
• Clearer error messaging if a restore can’t find your purchase — helps you spot the most common cause (different Apple ID).
• Fixed a counting bug where starting and ending sessions without revealing answers didn’t consume free scenarios. Each target you see now counts toward your 5 free scenarios as intended.
Description
Calling wind is the hardest part of long-range shooting. Gun Number trains the mental math precision shooters do under the pressure to develop a wind call before conditions change.
Practice with realistic scenarios:
• Four difficulty tiers — from stated wind at full value (Novice) to multi-cue overlap with shifting wind across stages (Expert)
• Read mirage angle, environmental cues, and flag indicators with cue tables that match how shooters actually call wind
• Multi-target stages of 1 to 4 targets — single timer, like a real PRS troop line
• Bracket mode shows you a wind-speed range to compute, with a Send-it / Fits / Exceeds plate-fit check
• Configurable plate size from 0.5 to 3 MOA, custom MRAD if you want it
• Density altitude correction past 800 yards, baked into the math walkthrough
• Mirage drift direction matches your wind clock — every cue matches what you'd actually see downrange
Built for actual stage practice:
• Per-target timer that matches the pressure you'll feel between shots
• Self-rating after every reveal builds the data you need to spot weak spots
• Session summary breaks performance down by wind cue type — find what's costing you points
Educational reference built in:
• Worked examples that walk through the formula on real scenarios
• Clock-face wind angle diagram with multipliers
• Full cue tables for mirage, environmental, and flag indicators
• Density altitude correction reference
Privacy:
• Local-only. No accounts. No analytics. No ads.
• Profile and session history live on your device — never transmitted.
Try 5 free scenarios. Unlock unlimited practice for $9.99 — one-time purchase, yours forever, all future updates included.

• Save multiple gun profiles — switch between rifles in one tap from the new landing screen
• Practice stats: targets seen and scoring across all your sessions
• Promo codes now redeem inside the app — tap "Have a code?" on the paywall
• Reveal card adds a back button (regenerates the scenario) and a collapsible "Scenario details" summary so you can re-check wind, distance, and angle
• Distances now favor the 300–800 yard window where most practice happens
• Random whole-yard distances at Intermediate and above (Novice keeps 100-yard increments); the education page teaches rounding to the nearest 100 for mental math
• Advanced and Expert multi-target stages sometimes hold wind speed constant while changing the angle between targets
