What’s New Version 1.1.0
We’ve made some major under-the-hood improvements to make managing your home expenses even easier!
Persistent Local Storage: Your data is now saved directly to your device. No more losing your progress when you close the app—your splits are always there when you return.
Smart Reset Options: We’ve added more control. You can now choose to "Erase All" to start fresh, or "Erase Expenses Only" to clear the bills while keeping your roommate list for next calculation.
Performance & Design: We’ve polished the UI and optimized the logic for even faster, more reliable calculations along with a guide for first time users
Description
Stop the rent and shared bill math headache. RentSplit is a clean, local-only tool designed to help you track household spending, manage roommates, and see a clear settlement guide instantly.Whether you are splitting a $2,000 rent or a $50 grocery bill, RentSplit ensures everyone pays exactly what they owe.
Why RentSplit?
NEW: Reliable Local Storage: No more losing data. Your expenses are now saved directly to your device so they are ready every time you open the app.
NEW: Smart Reset Options: We’ve expanded your control. Choose to "Erase All" or use the new "Erase Expenses" to clear the bills while keeping your roommate list intact for the next calculation.
Privacy First: No accounts, no cloud, and no data tracking. Your financial data stays 100% on your device.
The "Shared Amount" Logic: Set a shared target (like monthly rent) and see exactly how individual expenses contribute to covering that total.
Clean & Fast: No clutter, no ads—just the tools you need to settle up.
A Note from the Developer:The journey of RentSplit began in 2021 as a personal project for my family. After years of using it every "Rent Day," I began building this native iOS version in October 2025. Following our initial March release—which ran on RAM with a single reset—I’ve listened to feedback and upgraded the app with persistent local storage and smarter reset options to make your monthly transitions even smoother
