Description
Less Stress & More Fun:
All Aboard is designed to support early reading development by reinforcing the foundational phonics taught in the classroom. By engaging with All Aboard, early learners get the vital, regular practice with decoding letter patterns and blending sounds that leads to accurate and fluent reading.
All Aboard makes that practice routine fun and stress-free for both parents and learners, offering short sessions full of interactive games that exercise the different processes of reading.
The ideal time to introduce a learner to All Aboard varies, but foundational readiness generally begins around the age of 4. If you find it is a bit too early, simply pause for a few months and try again!
The Three Key Pillars of Reading:
All Aboard supports foundational literacy development in multiple ways, helping early readers become:
1. Familiar with the sounds used in words (the “phonemes”) and the alphabet
2. Confident with blending sounds together to make words
3. Able to convert letter patterns into sounds
Those are the three pillars of reading.
All of this is delivered within an engaging, game-based environment, transforming mandatory daily practice into an activity that learners actively look forward to. That may sound surprising, but give it a go to see what we mean!
All foundational introductory lessons are completely open and free for users to access.
Structured For Success:
With this structured approach, early readers are set up to succeed in each book reading session, building visible confidence week by week. Without this careful, guided scaffolding, early literacy practice can easily become stressful for the whole family.
Building that positive psychology of confidence is absolutely vital for a successful journey to strong reading. We highly recommend reinforcing this progress with constant praise for everything accomplished in each session!
Your supportive input makes a huge difference. Guiding an early reader can require patience, but avoiding any sense of frustration is key. Focus instead on how complex it truly is to learn to read! Imagine how you would feel learning to read Arabic text from scratch, for instance, and you will have a clear sense of what an early reader is processing.
The extended reading library becomes available once the first ten lessons are completed, ensuring familiarity with enough letters and sounds for the first book.
If your student has already completed some basic reading practice, the beginning of All Aboard will feel fairly slow, but it is much better to build a solid foundation than to move too fast. There is no great rush.
On the other hand, if you are supporting an older student who has encountered frustration with reading and needs a targeted intervention to catch up, our online “Easyread System” is a better option. Search on Google for information on that platform.
