What’s New Version 1.5

Minor updates, such as Terrain Profile, are also possible if the LOS circles do not overlap. Then the OSM model is automatically used.

Description

RFLossIOS helps you evaluate radio links between two locations on an interactive map. Set two points, search for towns, inspect the path, and view line-of-sight and terrain profiles. The app highlights possible obstacles along the route and provides RF calculations including FSPL, received power, noise floor, SNR, and link margin. It is designed for practical field-oriented link planning for VHF and higher frequencies. Obstacle and terrain sources include OSM buildings, AHN5 DSM/DTM for the Netherlands, Copernicus DEM 30m, and NASA SRTMGL1 where available. Building height data depends on the selected source and may be incomplete. FSPL calculations are intended for VHF and higher frequencies, and only when the path has no blocked LOS obstruction.
