What’s New Version 1.2
- New arrow navigation screen on Apple Watch — big directional arrow
with countdown to destination
- Swim history swipe to delete
- Improved splits with heart rate per split
- Wind direction in weather bar
- Navigation improvements for more accurate course tracking
Description
Open water has no lane lines. SwimOnCourse gives you one — felt through your wrist, invisible to everyone else.
Use your iPhone to set your destination on the map and send it to your Apple Watch. Leave your phone on shore — it's not needed during the swim. When you're ready, tap Start Swim on your Watch.
Your Watch guides you with haptic taps whenever you drift off course. The pattern tells you which way to turn. Silence means you're on the line. No looking up. No sighting. Just swim.
After the swim, return to your iPhone to review your route, stats, and how closely you held the line.
Navigation
Cross-track error navigation maintains a fixed-width corridor — not a widening cone
Configurable haptic patterns and intervals for left and right corrections
Finish zone detection accounts for GPS drift so you never miss your destination
Approaching and arrival alerts
Workout Tracking
Records Open Water Swim to Apple Health
Distance, time, heart rate, calories, and 100-yard splits
GPS route map with course corridor and finish zone overlay
Weather conditions recorded at swim time
Apple Watch
Works standalone — no iPhone needed during swim
Water lock activates automatically
Pre-swim screen confirms haptic settings before you start
Focus on your stroke, not your heading.
