SnapSafe helps you understand food labels fast. Scan ingredient lists and nutrition panels, spot allergens and additives, and decide what belongs in your cart or pantry.
New in this release: Pantry, smarter EU/NL label support, E-number explanations, and optional AI-powered label explanations and recipes.
Scan and understand:

• Nutrition panels, sugar, carbs, salt, and additives
• Dutch/EU label terms, THT/TGT dates, and E-numbers
• Pantry items, best-before/use-by dates, and recipe ideas
SnapSafe works on-device by default. Optional AI features can explain tricky labels, help auto-fill pantry items, and generate recipes from selected pantry items.

Important safety fix + major features update.
FIXED
• Dairy/milk allergen detection: users who selected "Dairy" in onboarding now correctly receive allergen warnings on milk-containing ingredients. If you have a dairy allergy, please reopen the app to verify your allergen settings.
• Allergen overmatch fixes: plant milks (almond, oat, soy) no longer trigger dairy alerts; gluten-free flours (rice, almond, corn) no longer trigger gluten alerts.

• Family Profiles (Pro): create profiles for each family member with their own allergens and dietary needs. Switch profiles from the home screen before scanning.
• Pantry Detail: tap any saved product for a full breakdown — allergens, additives, expiration, on-demand AI explanation.
• Recipes: 25 templated recipes across skillet, soup, sheet-pan, no-cook, and breakfast methods. Tap any recipe to view step-by-step directions with adjustable servings (minimum 2). Quantities scale automatically.
• Favorite recipes: heart any recipe — templated or AI — to keep it for quick reuse.
• AI Recipes (Pro): generate personalized recipes from your pantry. 30 credits/month with visible counter and confirmation before each use.
IMPROVEMENTS
• Settings now covers all 10 allergens, 6 diets, 7 concerns, and label region (US/UK/EU/CA).
• In-app medical disclaimer added to result and detail screens.
