What’s New Version 1.0.5
a fresh look on the store, same letsdine. plan an event, swipe on dates and cuisines, and let the group decide where to eat — no more "idk, you pick." plus the usual round of fixes and polish across vote, reveal, and setup.
Description
its 10pm. nobody has eaten.
letsdine ends the "where do you wanna eat?" group chat. everyone votes in private, the app finds where you actually agree, and you reveal the winner together — no more "i'm fine with anything."
HOW IT WORKS
1. plan something — pick a vibe, a few dates, and invite your friends with one tap.
2. everyone swipes — dates first, then cuisines. like tinder, but for dinner.
3. reveal the winner — when the votes are in, the app shows the perfect match.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
- blind voting — nobody sees the votes until the reveal, so the loudest voice doesn't win.
- vote from a text — friends need no signup and no download; they tap your link and swipe.
- dates and food together — find the night that works and the food everyone wants, in one flow.
- a reveal worth sharing — a 6-slide story you'll want to send back to the group.
ALSO INCLUDED
- smart date matching that finds times everyone is free
- tiebreaker mode for when votes split
- my events to track everything you've hosted or joined
- smart notifications that nudge you, never spam you
- dark mode for late-night planning
PERFECT FOR
- friend groups planning a saturday dinner
- couples deciding date night
- coworkers picking a team lunch
- birthdays, holidays, and anyone tired of "idk, you pick"
PRIVACY FIRST
- free, with no ads, ever
- we never sell your data
- your number is used only for sign-in, and only you sign in
GET STARTED
tap "plan something," send the invite, and let your friends do the voting.

a fresh look on the store, same letsdine. plan an event, swipe on dates and cuisines, and let the group decide where to eat — no more "idk, you pick." plus the usual round of fixes and polish across vote, reveal, and setup.
Build 887399604v1.0.42026-06-25 05:48:07
• Jump straight in. No phone number required to start. Plan an event, join one, or vote — all
without signing in. Sign in only when you want to save events and get notified.
• Three new sign-in surfaces. Tap "Already have an account? Sign in" on home, in My Events, or in
Settings to recover events created on another device.
• Smart vibe rename. Tapping a different vibe (Dinner → Drinks, etc.) swaps the noun in your event
name automatically. Custom names like "Alex's bday bash" are left alone.
• Smoother voting. Cached events stay visible while fresh data loads in the background — no more
blank lists on flaky connections.
• Sharper share GIFs. The reveal animation leads with the dinner details (where + when) and saves
the letsdine sign-off for the close — no back-to-back logos on iMessage's auto-loop.
• Notification polish. Tapping a notification reliably dismisses it instead of bringing it back.
Phone fields no longer flash white when you paste from Contacts.
• Restaurant winners now show the actual name (not "TBD") on the reveal and share card.
• Sturdier sign-in. Joining or voting recovers gracefully when the auth session goes stale on a
flaky network or in private/incognito browsers.
Plus dozens of small fixes across Vote, Reveal, Setup, and Settings.
Build 886271862v1.0.22026-05-29 16:28:20
We squashed a stack of bugs and polished every screen since launch.
Highlights:
• Push notifications now work end-to-end — get pinged when friends vote, the host
reveals results, or someone needs to break a tie.
• Invite links flow cleanly. Tap a friend's link, sign in once, and you're voting.
• Faster tie resolution. When the group is split, you'll jump straight to picking the
winner.
• Event names keep your casing — type "DD4L Dinner" and your group sees "DD4L Dinner".
• See who's voted from the invite screen with the new Refresh button and green Voted
pills.
• Notifications now lead with the event name so you know what's up at a glance.
• Cleaner copy everywhere — sharper captions, more helpful empty states.
Thanks for hanging in there while we kept polishing. More coming soon.
Build 886299718v1.0.32026-05-29 20:50:19
We squashed a stack of bugs and polished every screen since launch.
Highlights:
• Push notifications work end-to-end. Get pinged when friends vote, the host reveals,
or someone needs to break a tie.
• Invite links flow cleanly. Tap a friend's link, sign in once, you're voting.
• Quick Polls reveal smoothly — whether you locked the date or the cuisine, the app
gets you straight to results.
• Faster tie resolution. When the group splits, you jump straight to picking the
winner.
• Sharper share-the-plan GIF — jumps straight to the date reveal, no logo intro before
the good part.
• Event names keep your typing. "DD4L Dinner" stays "DD4L Dinner" everywhere.
• See who's voted from the invite screen with the new Refresh button and green Voted
pills.
• Notifications lead with the event name so you know what's up at a glance.
• Cleaner copy throughout — sharper captions, more helpful empty states.
Thanks for hanging in. More coming soon.
Build 886042190v1.0.12026-05-24 15:02:17
• Animated reveal video — smoother slides, sharper awards, and the date headline now actually
reads "TONIGHT" / "MONDAY" / "NEXT WEEK" / "IN 2 WEEKS" based on when your dinner is, instead of
always saying "tonight."
• Live countdown — see how long until your dinner from the results page. Flips to coral in the
final hour.
• Save event guests as friends — one tap in "View attendees" adds anyone from your event to your
in-app contacts so they're ready to invite next time.
• Smarter Add Friends button — it now names the people you're adding ("Add Aaron Diaz" instead of
"Add 1") so you can tell at a glance who's going.
• Group-poke texts now open Messages with everyone in one thread instead of only the first
recipient.
Behind the scenes: tightened authentication on every API call, and fixed a bug where inviting
multiple friends in one step could silently drop everyone after the first.
