Description
Read Lab is a playful reading app for kids ages 6 to 12. No homework, no school tests — just short exercises kids actually enjoy, at exactly the right level.
WHAT CAN YOUR CHILD DO?
With Read Lab, kids practice reading comprehension across 45 levels, designed for ages 6 to 12 (1st through 6th grade). Each exercise is short (3 to 5 questions) and ends with instant feedback. No long passages, no dry workbooks — just stories that grab kids, questions that stretch them, and an interface that feels like play.
• Short exercises that fit into 5 minutes
• Difficulty that adapts to your child
• Playful animations and big buttons, designed for small hands
• 45 levels, from starter to expert
• Works fully offline — in the car, on the plane, on vacation
HOW DOES THE LEVEL WORK?
At the start, you pick your child's age and difficulty preference (easy, normal, hard). Read Lab picks a starting level automatically. As your child practices, we watch: too easy? We suggest moving up. Too hard? We suggest a step back. Your child stays in flow — never bored, never frustrated.
FOR PARENTS
You don't need to sit next to your child. You set up the account, your child plays independently. In the parent dashboard, you see exactly how far they've come, where they got stuck, and which topics need extra attention. One subscription covers the whole family (up to 4 child profiles).
• Up to 4 child profiles per parent account
• No ads, no pop-ups, no external links without a parent PIN
• Compliant with GDPR and COPPA
• No tracking, no profiling, no data sold to third parties
• Access, export, or delete your data at any time
FREE TRIAL & SUBSCRIPTION
Try Read Lab free for 14 days. No credit card needed to start. After that, choose between monthly or yearly. One subscription covers the whole family account.

What's New in Read Lab
Read Lab now opens with a warm welcome: Pip, our reading buddy, greets your child with a cheerful intro animation the moment the app starts. Returning readers get a personal "welcome back" — so practice begins with a smile every time.
New in this version
A Pip introduction at startup, with a smooth transition from logo to animation. A lovely opening moment that invites kids to start reading again and again.
Six brand-new avatars to choose from. Even more ways for your child to build their own reading helper and make the app their own.
A refreshed child profile. Setting up a profile now looks brighter and friendlier, with Pip guiding you step by step. Quicker to finish, more fun to do.
Improved
Dozens of reading texts and questions have been reviewed and polished, so the stories flow better and the questions are clearer than ever.
Smarter hints when an answer isn't right the first time: your child can see more easily where in the text the answer lives, and learns to search independently.
A calmer, smoother app startup.
The completion screen after an exercise now looks crisp and complete.
Fixed
Your child's progress is counted correctly again, with no double-counting.
Removed a duplicate avatar from the collection.
Resolved various small visual glitches in texts and buttons.
Stability improvements for a more reliable startup experience.
Happy reading with Read Lab. Keep tracking your progress, collect new avatars, and help your child move forward with reading a little every day.
