What’s New Version 4.0.2

Now with Apple Health: connect your CGM and Midline auto-imports your blood sugar so your timeline fills in without any tapping. Critical fix: resolves a startup issue that prevented the app from loading for some users after the 4.0 update. If you were affected, the app should open normally now. Thanks for your patience.

Description

Midline is a diabetes journal that captures the context your glucose chart can't. Mood, meals, blood sugar, insulin, symptom, in 15 seconds a day. Blood sugar readings tell part of the story. But what about the stressful meeting that spiked your glucose? The meal you didn't have time to think about? The week where everything felt off but you can't explain why? Midline Journal captures the context around your health — mood, meals, blood sugar, insulin, symptoms, and the life events that connect them. Every check-in takes 15 to 30 seconds. No forms. No clinical language. Just a quick note about how your day is actually going. Then, when it matters most — like walking into a 15-minute appointment where you always blank — you have a clear, honest picture of your recent health to share with your doctor. WHAT YOU CAN LOG - Mood and energy, in a tap - Blood sugar readings - Meals with photo-based food recognition - Insulin doses and timing - Symptoms and side effects - Life events that affect your health (stress, travel, sleep changes) WHAT YOU GET BACK - Weekly insights that connect the dots between your entries - Patterns you might not notice on your own ("Your mood tends to dip on days you skip lunch") - Doctor-ready summaries you can pull up or share before appointments - A journal that actually makes sense of your day-to-day PREMIUM FEATURES Midline Journal is free to use — full journaling, unlimited entries, and on-device intelligence included. Upgrade for: - AI-generated health summaries tailored to your logging history - Ask My Health — ask questions about your own patterns and get thoughtful, personalized answers PRIVACY ISN'T A FEATURE. IT'S THE ARCHITECTURE. Your health data stays on your device. Period. No accounts. No cloud sync. No servers storing your blood sugar readings. You own your data, and it never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it. Disclaimer: Midline is a health journal — not a medical device. It helps you capture context around your health so you can share it with your doctor or have for personal review. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Blood sugar ranges displayed in the app are based on published clinical guidelines (International Consensus on Time in Range, Battelino et al., Diabetes Care, 2019) and are for informational reference only. v4.0.0 — Apple Health, finally. Connect Apple Health to auto-import your CGM blood sugar readings — no more manual entry. Your timeline fills in automatically with every reading from Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, Medtronic, and other devices that sync to Apple Health. What's new: • Auto-import blood glucose from Apple Health (Settings → Apple Health) • Smart notifications: post-meal nudges show your actual reading instead of asking you to check • Morning check-ins include your overnight average • End-of-day summary shows time-in-range • Insights chart adapts to CGM data density — continuous trace instead of dots • Optional insulin delivery import for compatible pumps • Data health monitoring — we'll let you know if your CGM stops syncing • Power user controls: hide the BG chart, toggle context notifications independently Non-CGM users: nothing changes. Manual logging works exactly as before.
