Boom tells you what weather apps don't — whether you'll actually hear a sonic boom from a returning rocket booster. When a booster does a Return to Launch Site (RTLS) landing, it hits the ground with a boom that carries for miles. Boom figures out who's in the blast zone and warns you before it happens. WHAT BOOM DOES • Tracks upcoming launches from Vandenberg SFB, Cape Canaveral, and Kennedy Space Center • Calculates whether the sonic boom will reach your location based on the booster's descent corridor • Counts down to launch so you know exactly when to step outside • Shows an interactive flight path map with the sonic boom wave corridor • Sends push notifications before launch so you don't miss it PERSONALIZED PREDICTIONS Turn on location-based predictions and Boom tells you how far you are from the boom corridor, how loud it'll be (Loud / Audible / Faint), and whether the weather will affect how far the sound carries. NOTIFICATIONS Get notified 24 hours before, 1 hour before, or right at launch — your call. You'll also get an alert if a launch reschedules within that 24-hour window. Not every launch produces a sonic boom. Boom filters out ocean landings and only shows you what's actually relevant to where you are.
