## Concept and Goal **Holigan Thief Gifts** is a mobile word-puzzle game in a "find words in a grid" format. The player progresses through 10 levels, each featuring an 11×11 grid where English words are hidden. The objective is to find all the words before the timer runs out and, if possible, finish with time to spare to unlock bonus content. --- ## Core Game Logic ### 1. Game Board - **Grid:** 11×11 letters. - The level's word set is hidden within the grid. - **Interaction:** Players select words by touching a letter and dragging their finger across the sequence. - **Direction:** In the current version, words are hidden only horizontally and vertically (in both directions). - Once a word is correctly highlighted, it is marked as found. ### 2. Hint List - A list of the hidden words is displayed below the game board. - When a player finds a word, it is crossed off the list to provide a visual sense of progress. ### 3. Timer and Win/Loss Conditions - A timer is displayed at the top of the screen, limiting the time available for the level. - **Victory:** The player finds all words before time expires. - **Defeat:** Time runs out—a "Game Over" screen appears with a **Restart** button. ### 4. Level System (10 Levels) - The game features 10 distinct levels. - Level 1 is unlocked by default. - Completing a level unlocks the next one. - Progress is saved, allowing players to resume from where they left off after restarting the app. --- ## Bosses and "The Gallery" ### The Purpose of Bosses Each level is associated with a specific "Boss." The narrative premise is that the player must "outsmart" the boss by finding words quickly to force them to help the player move forward. ### Level Intro Screen Before starting a level, the player sees: - A vibrant image of the current level's Boss. - Short motivational text in English (e.g., "Finish before time runs out and make the Boss work for you!"). - A **Start** button, which triggers the timer and begins the gameplay. ### Unlocking Bosses (Bonus Condition) - If a player completes a level with at least **10 seconds remaining** on the timer, the corresponding Boss is unlocked in the **Gallery**. - In the Gallery, each Boss has two states: **Locked** (not yet achieved) and **Unlocked** (earned via the speed bonus). ### Victory Screen After a successful level, the player sees: - An image of the Boss. - A message: "Let’s go talk to another Boss." - A **Go** button, which returns the player to the main menu where the next level is now accessible.
