Scan Barcodes from Your Lock Screen
New Lock Screen widget lets you scan food barcodes with a single tap — no need to unlock and find the app. A new Control Center button does the same from anywhere.
Better Barcode Recognition
Added Open Food Facts to the lookup cascade, dramatically improving coverage for beverages, snacks, and international products. Camera autofocus is now tuned for close-range scanning, and more barcode formats are supported (Code 93, QR codes, alphanumeric).
Fixed: Barcode Scans from Widgets Actually Log Food Now
Previously, scanning a barcode from the Lock Screen widget or Control Center would look up the product but silently discard the result. Now you'll see a confirmation screen to adjust servings and meal type before logging.
Redesigned Widget Onboarding
New users see a visual Lock Screen mockup showing exactly what NightFast widgets look like, with a step-by-step walkthrough for adding them.
Lock Screen Widget Readability
The rectangular Lock Screen widget (calories, next meal, macros, night mode) was rendering as faint gray bars on most wallpapers. Replaced ProgressView with a proper Gauge, increased font sizes, and fixed contrast so it's readable on any Lock Screen.
