Description
There are 272 unique labyrinths hidden across the London Underground. They're not signposted; they're just there, like a very patient art project waiting for you to notice.
The story: in 2013, to mark 150 years of the Tube, Art on the Underground commissioned British artist Mark Wallinger to create Labyrinth: a permanent artwork of unicursal labyrinth designs in vitreous enamel (black lines on white, with a red cross), made by the same folk who do the network's iconic signage. Each station got its own design, numbered by the route used in the 2009 Guinness World Records Tube Challenge. The first 270 were in place by the end of 2013; in 2023, Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms got theirs too, bringing the total to 272. No two labyrinths are the same.
Mind the Maze helps you find, photograph, and collect the lot. Track which you've bagged, see what's remaining, filter by line, and unlock achievements as you go. Works offline - handy when you're, ahem, underground.
