What’s New Version 1.4.5
Quick update:
Fixed a coaching bug where a morning workout could be incorrectly blamed for changes in your overnight metrics, like sleeping heart rate, that were measured before the workout happened.
Thanks!
Gary
Description
Pace by Athlytic reads your Apple Watch health data and tells you what actually matters -- in plain language, not just charts and numbers.
Most health apps overwhelm you with scores, rings, and graphs. Pace takes a different approach. It monitors 35+ health signals, learns what's normal for you, and only speaks up when something is worth your attention.
HOW IT WORKS
Just wear your Apple Watch. Pace does the rest. No data entry required, no numbers to interpret. Each day, Pace checks your health data and gives you a clear summary of how you're doing.
WHAT PACE TRACKS
Sleep
- Duration, quality, efficiency, and consistency
- Deep, REM, and core sleep stages
- Breathing disturbance tracking
Vitals
- Heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate
- Blood pressure trends with AHA classification
- Blood oxygen, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature
Cardio Fitness
- VO2 Max tracking with age and sex-adjusted context
- Walking heart rate trends
Activity
- Steps with personalized pacing and goal tracking
- Active calories, flights climbed, and standing hours
- Time in daylight with weather-aware context
Workouts
- Automatic detection from Apple Watch
- Duration, calories, and heart rate summaries
Body Composition
- Weight, lean body mass, body fat percentage, and FFMI
- Personalized baseline ranges with trend detection
Mobility
- Walking speed, steadiness, and symmetry
- Step length, stair speed, and six-minute walk distance
- 8 metrics that research links to long-term health
SMART HEALTH INSIGHTS
Pace learns your personal baselines over 60 days, then alerts you when something shifts. Instead of showing you a number and hoping you know what it means, Pace explains it:
- "Your heart rate variability is lower than usual"
- "Your blood pressure trend is elevated -- the AHA considers this Stage 1"
- "Your walking speed has declined -- this is one of the strongest predictors of overall health"
And when things improve, Pace tells you that too. No open loops -- when a concern resolves, you'll know about it.
HEALTH PATTERNS
Pace discovers correlations hidden in your data -- like how alcohol affects your HRV, or how daylight impacts your deep sleep. Every pattern is statistically validated and backed by peer-reviewed research. No guessing, no astrology.
WHAT MAKES PACE DIFFERENT
- Conversational health summaries written in plain English
- Alerts you when something needs attention, celebrates when things improve
- All monitoring is passive -- just wear your Apple Watch
- Personal baselines, not one-size-fits-all thresholds
- Weather-aware context for activity and daylight
- Every clinical threshold is backed by peer-reviewed research
PREMIUM FEATURES
- AI-powered health assistant -- ask questions about your data in plain English
- Health pattern discovery across 35+ metrics
- Smart notifications when something shifts
- Step goal celebrations with streak tracking
- Weekly health summary notifications
- Exportable PDF health reports to share with your doctor
- Trend charts for all metrics
- Step pacing and detailed concern views
- Reads alcohol, caffeine, hydration, and nutrition data from Apple Health
YOUR PRIVACY
All analysis happens on your iPhone using Apple's on-device AI. No cloud uploads, no accounts, no tracking, no data selling. Your health data never leaves your phone.

Build 887690310v1.4.52026-07-02 04:35:39
Quick update:
Fixed a coaching bug where a morning workout could be incorrectly blamed for changes in your overnight metrics, like sleeping heart rate, that were measured before the workout happened.
Thanks!
Gary
Build 886957647v1.4.42026-06-16 11:54:45
Travel Recovery Profile in Health Patterns. Pace now detects your trips automatically, recognizes when you've arrived somewhere new or returned home, and learns how your body responds to time-zone shifts over time. After a few trips, personal patterns surface like how your first night home compares to baseline and how long your HRV takes to normalize.
The dashboard, widget, morning report, and Ask Pace now factor active travel into their interpretation.
Pace's travel awareness has been improved.
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
Gary
Build 886548876v1.4.32026-06-08 11:31:13
Every chart under Your Metrics now has the option to see 6 months and 1 year of data, in addition to 60 days.
Fixed an issue where some users may not be seeing Health Patterns.
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
Gary
Build 886210925v1.4.22026-06-02 01:09:04
Fixed an issue where Cardio Fitness concerns might show on the home page even after dismissal.
Fixed an issue where the widgets might say sleep data missing if you haven't opened the app yet.
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
Gary
Build 886023884v1.4.12026-05-26 10:07:56
Added the ability to hide certain metrics under Your Metrics section as well as ability to hide entire categories e.g. Body Composition. This can easily be restored by hitting the Reset to Default button at the bottom.
Added UK and Custom unit presets in Settings, so you can pick Celsius for temperature, miles for distance, or any mix in between.
Fixed an issue where the widget might not show as much text as it has room to show.
Cleaned up the Health Patterns section a little.
For wheelchair users we now auto hide Stand Hours in Your Metrics.
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
Gary
Build 885580756v1.42026-05-13 10:30:07
A Pace iPhone Widget! Available in small, medium or large and mimics the core mission statement of Pace's home screen: only surface what health information you need to know!
Added a new Morning Report notification.
Pace is now aware of travel. In other words, if you've traveled into a drastically different time zone and your sleep or vitals are off, Pace will acknowledge the potential effect of the travel.
Wheelchair users should now get pushes instead of steps in the weekly notification.
Some updates and improvements to Health Patterns.
Wheelchair users can now reorder their Your Metrics sections without Mobility appearing in the Customize sheet. Previously dragging Mobility had no visible effect because the section is intentionally hidden from the main view for wheelchair users.
Fixed an issue where Celsius preference might not be respected in Health Patterns.
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
Gary

Also added Family Sharing!
A few other small bug fixes and optimizations.
Thanks!
