Automatic backups
The app can now back up your chats on a schedule in the background, so your latest messages are saved without opening Settings each time.
Message drafts
Unsent messages are saved locally for each chat. Drafts appear in the chat list preview, so you can pick up where you left off.
Backup & restore improvements
Backup creation is faster. Account restore now preserves chat history more reliably when recovering on a peer device, and invalid credentials trigger a clean local sign-out instead of leaving the app in a broken state.
Video calls
During a video call, on-screen controls fade out after a few seconds of inactivity so you can focus on the video. Tap anywhere to bring them back; they also reappear when you change camera, mic, or other call settings.
Notifications
Group chats now show the chat name and sender in notification previews. Related notifications are grouped together, and messages received while the app is in the background are saved more reliably. Opening a chat from a notification clears the corresponding alert from the tray.
