New Features Travel Suggestions: if you have an upcoming trip more than 80km from home, Bean Stuff shows a card with specialty coffee shops near your destination. Dismiss it once you've planned your stops, or turn it off from settings. Settings menu: the top-right button is now a gear icon, opening a menu with the travel suggestions toggle, a way to report missing shops, a feedback form, and a support link Add Missing Coffee Shop: the settings menu now walks you through submitting an unlisted shop via Apple Maps or Google Maps. Improvements Scoring progress: a live progress bar with percentage now shows while shops are being scored. Faster loading on return visits: shop results and scores are cached locally for 7 days. Opening the app near somewhere you've searched before loads instantly, with a silent background refresh running behind the scenes. Search bar now auto-focuses when opened. Bottom sheet now uses a frosted glass background instead of solid white. Bug Fixes First launch no longer flashes an error banner before you've had a chance to tap Allow on the location permission dialog. Denying location access now shows a clear banner with a direct link to Settings instead of a cryptic error message.

Improvements: - Map clustering is significantly more stable. Tapping a cluster now consistently zooms into the grouped coffee shops rather than occasionally jumping to the wrong location or zooming out unexpectedly. - Tapping a coffee shop pin on the map now automatically scrolls the bottom sheet to that shop and expands its card, making it easy to see details without hunting through the list. - The Recenter button no longer triggers a full reload. It now repositions the map to your current location while keeping already-scored shops visible, saving time and API calls. - Removed a conflict in the chain filter that was occasionally causing specialty chains (Blue Bottle, Philz, Intelligentsia) to be filtered out incorrectly. Known bugs: - On first launch, a location permission error may briefly appear before the permission prompt is accepted. This resolves itself once location access is granted and does not affect functionality.

Improvements - added a "buy me coffee" option: This helps me fund the project without charging money or showing ads. But don't worry, this is buried under the feedback button at the top of the main page. So not too needy :) Bug fixes - Minor bug fixes

Features -Expanded Coffee Shop Discovery: The map now intelligently searches across a full 50-mile radius using a grid approach — uncovering many more local specialty coffee shops than before. -Improved Map Clustering: Nearby coffee shops now group together into smooth, dynamic clusters, making maps easier to explore and keeping the view clean as you zoom in and out. Improvements - Better Chain Filtering: Major coffee chains are now more accurately detected and filtered out, helping ensure your map highlights true specialty and independent coffee shops. - Updated coffee shop icons: Icons that represent coffee shops have been updated so they are more visible on maps. - Points of interest hidden: To make the map less distracting, points of interest on the map that are not coffee shops have been hidden. Known issues - We continue to tweak the ranking algorithm and understand that sometimes it gets things wrong.
