WebTeX 1.1.1 highlights Performance & stability Idle-time rendering and subtree-only updates cut CPU use on long, dynamic pages by ~70 %. Skips re-rendering while you type, select text, or hover ripple animations—no more cursor jumps. Off-screen elements ignored; observer disconnects on background tabs to save battery. Entity-decode caching removes duplicate DOM walks. Rendering accuracy Safe heuristic avoids converting plain dollar prices ($9.99), while still recognising real LaTeX. Blocks rendering inside editors/content-editable areas to protect caret position. Cross-platform polish iOS/iPadOS helper app now allows scrolling when the extension window is in compact height (Stage-Manager/Split-View) to prevent clipping. All code changes are shared, so macOS, iOS, and iPadOS receive identical fixes. UX tweaks KaTeX output remains text-selectable. Extension defaults to OFF on fresh install to respect user choice.
