Dandelin School

The app offers engaging and interactive activities to practice the school language. Through games, stories, and activities in the app, children can enhance their skills in the language spoken at school – for free. The app's fun character Dandelin guides them along the way. Our app is designed to facilitate a smooth start to school when the language spoken at school differs from the one at home, promoting equal opportunities for all children. Languages for Learning: Deutsch, Lietuvių, Polski, Slovenščina Today, many children in Europe speak a different language at home than they do at school, which presents challenges in their educational journey. Our project addresses this issue by providing parents and educators with practical resources to enhance children's language competence and ensure they are well-prepared for school. The goal is to improve the language skills of preschool children to ease their transition into primary school, support migrant families in maintaining their mother tongue while learning the language of their new country, foster a love for languages and cultural diversity among children, and provide parents with practical, everyday support to enhance their children's linguistic and cognitive abilities. This offering has been developed by a team of experts, bringing together knowledge and insights from various countries to create a robust and effective resource for promoting multilingual education. The project funded by the European Commission, is designed to support multilingualism and language preparation for preschool children. The project focuses on supporting migrant families and provides essential tools and resources to help children in their new school language environment.
