What’s New Version 2026.1.1

This update is a full refresh of how the app helps you plan, adapt, and understand your training. Training programs are now built into the Plan tab. Start a guided setup, create a longer training program with your coach, or bring an existing plan into Whistle so your week has more structure than one workout at a time. The coach is more capable across everyday planning. You can use it to build and adjust workouts, review progress, work with your active program, and send richer context with voice and photos. Daily AI summaries help connect your plan, completed workouts, recovery, and upcoming day. The dashboard now brings more training context together: training load, projected load, recovery, sleep, vitals, weather, and workout predictions. Weather planning now looks further ahead, and insights include richer charts and heatmaps. Workout planning also got more precise. Single-goal workouts can now include targets, estimates are smarter, and the underlying health and workout calculations have been expanded for the new training load, recovery, sleep, and workout features. As always, we also cleaned up many smaller flows, fixed bugs, and polished the app for the this release. Thank you for training with Whistle. - Flo & Clemens

Description

Whistle is an AI training planner for running, cycling, swimming, strength work, and everything in between. Build a plan around your goals, adapt it when life changes, and understand what your training is doing over time. Plan with a coach that understands your week Ask Whistle to build a training week, create a longer program, adjust a workout, review your progress, or explain what your body is telling you. Your coach can use your goals, schedule, recent workouts, recovery, sleep, vitals, and local weather to help you make better training decisions. Training programs, not just single workouts Start a guided setup, tell Whistle what you are training for, and get a structured program you can follow week by week. Already following a plan? Bring that structure into Whistle and let your coach help you keep it organized. Workout planning that stays flexible Plan workouts for today, the week ahead, or a longer training block. Create structured sessions with warmups, intervals, targets, cooldowns, and activity-specific goals. Save workouts as templates so repeated sessions are ready when you need them. Train with better context Whistle turns workout and health data into practical planning support: - Training load to understand how much work you are absorbing - Projected load to see how planned workouts may shape your week - Recovery, sleep, and vital trends for daily context - Workout predictions for distance, duration, calories, and load - Training insights, heatmaps, and streaks to review consistency over time - Weather-aware planning with multi-day forecasts for outdoor sessions Apple Watch ready Send planned workouts to Apple Watch and start them from your wrist. Whistle also works with Apple’s Workout app experience, so your sessions fit into the tools you already use. Works with Apple Health (HealthKit) When you choose to share Apple Health data, Whistle can use workouts, activity, heart rate, recovery, sleep, and vitals to make planning and coaching more personal. The goal is useful training insight, not medical advice. Built privacy-first No account is required. Your workout and health data are handled with care, stored locally and in your personal iCloud where possible, and used only to power the features you choose. When AI processing is needed, Whistle uses the data required for the task instead of building a long-term personal profile on our servers. Some features require Pro or Ultra. Health, weather, watch, and AI features depend on device capabilities, permissions, region, and data availability.

This is a big one. Liquid Glass Redesign Whistle now supports the new Liquid Glass design introduced with iOS 26. The app feels more fluid, more immersive, and blends beautifully into the system. It’s a visual upgrade that makes using Whistle feel even smoother day to day. A New AI Coach We’ve rebuilt the AI Coach from scratch. It’s now fully conversational and way more capable. You can talk to it freely, ask it to build workouts or full plans, move or delete things, or surface health data and past sessions. It remembers more from your conversations and can pick up context as you go. You also now have more control: you can choose between three different coach personalities, adjust the thinking depth, and even select the underlying AI model if you want to fine-tune how it responds. Better Estimations We’ve improved how we estimate things like distance, calories, and duration when planning workouts. If you schedule a 30-minute run, for example, Whistle now uses your past performance to estimate how far you’ll go and how much energy you’ll burn. These new estimates also show up in the weekly chart in the Plan tab, where you can now switch between distance, duration, and calories to get a better sense of what your training week looks like. Watch App Overhaul The Apple Watch app has been completely revamped for watchOS 26. It now syncs over iCloud, so your data is always up to date. You can view your templates right on the watch and start them from there, which makes heading out the door even quicker. And if you use Apple’s Activity app on your phone, you can now connect it to Whistle so your workouts sync there automatically. Thanks for following along, and for all the feedback and ideas. — Flo & Clemens
