MMS / SMS Thread - Native File Picker & Media Improvements
This release improves the MMS experience in the CRM Mobile app on both iOS and Android.
Native File Picker
The MMS uploader now opens the native iOS photo and file picker directly. No more in-app dropzone - tap the upload button and your system picker appears immediately. Selecting an image returns you to the message composer with the file attached and ready to send.
Smarter Upload Button
After selecting files, the upload button icon switches to a close icon so you always know files are staged. Tapping it again removes the selection without reopening the picker.
Image Previews in the Composer
A thumbnail of your selected image is shown in the composer before you send, so you can confirm the right file is attached. Once sent, the image appears in the thread with a tappable thumbnail that opens the full-screen viewer.
OS Permission Handling
The app now correctly requests camera and photo library permissions the first time you use each feature. If you previously denied access, the OS will prompt you again when you tap "Take photo" or "Choose from library". Denying permission leaves the composer untouched with no errors.
Consistent Validations
All file validations - unsupported file type, file too large, too many files, batch size exceeded - are enforced in the native picker flow exactly as they are on desktop.
Bug Fixes & Stability
- Fixed an issue where picking a file via the native picker could leave the composer without a preview.
- Fixed a potential JavaScript error when camera permission was denied.
