What Makes This App Special
High-Quality Transcription
Free doesn't mean low quality. Transcription accuracy is everything, so we've made it a priority. The app removes filler words like "um" and "uh" and adds proper punctuation for easy-to-read results.
Battery-Friendly
Some transcription apps drain your phone's resources, causing it to overheat and killing your battery. That's not the kind of app I'd want to use, so I minimized heavy on-device processing to keep battery consumption low.

- Recording now automatically resumes after phone call interruptions, including on the lock screen and after answered calls
- During a call, the app shows "Paused during call" and correctly pauses the recording timer
- The home screen widget timer now stays in sync with the in-app recording time during and after call interruptions
- Realtime transcription can also resume recording from the background after a call ends

In this version, we added an in-app notice about an upcoming change to normal transcription on the free plan, scheduled for June 1, 2026.
Until now, we have offered unlimited normal transcription time even on the free plan. However, the external AI service used for normal transcription is expected to become significantly more expensive from June 2026. To keep the service sustainable and continue providing it reliably, normal transcription on the free plan will be limited to 3 uses per month starting June 1, 2026.
Premium users are not affected by this change. Normal transcription will remain unlimited on the Premium plan. Retry and real-time transcription conditions will also remain unchanged.
Because this is an important change, we have added clearer in-app communication so users can understand what is changing and why. We appreciate your understanding as we continue improving and maintaining Mugen Transcribe.
