“Someone sent me a video, but it won’t play.” “I brought a video over from my PC or camera, but I can’t open it.” Mugen Converter is a simple, practical video conversion app that helps turn those videos into MOV or MP4 files that are easier to play and share on iOS.
Using it is simple: choose a video, select the conversion recipe that fits your purpose, and convert. No technical knowledge is required. If you are not sure what to choose, the standard settings are a safe place to start.
You can add multiple videos to the queue and convert them later in order. Each video can keep its own recipe, so it is easy to handle different needs, such as keeping one video high quality, reducing the file size of another, or extracting audio only.
Conversion is completed entirely on your iPhone or iPad. No login is required. Your video files are not sent to an external server for conversion, so even large videos can stay in your hands while you work with them.
Once you are ready for more control, you can adjust settings such as MOV / MP4, H.264 / HEVC, resolution, bitrate, and frame rate to match your purpose.
In addition to everyday video conversion, Mugen Converter includes dedicated tools for specific needs.

Adjust videos where the audio and video timing are consistently out of sync by moving the audio earlier or later with a slider.
- Subtitle file embedding
Add subtitle files such as SRT, VTT, ASS, or SSA as soft subtitles inside a video. The subtitles are not burned into the picture, so supported players can turn them on or off.
You can also extract only the audio from a video and save it as AAC or MP3.
Mugen Converter can also capture scenes from a video at regular intervals, create timestamped images, and generate summary images.
Converted videos, extracted audio, and captured images can be managed in the app’s built-in storage.
Files you need can be shared with other apps, saved to Photos, used for social media posts, or included in documents and presentations. Mugen Converter also supports integration with the video player app “Mugen Player.”
