Why!? I would give this a five star review. But I was super far in the game and your big update where you change the map reset my progress. Mostly doing this for a bug issue
Follow-up on the previous issue with the being stuck thing, I think it’s from the game continuing to run for a couple seconds or so even when it has been closed? Ive noticed it through the apple gaming mode thing. It closes properly when using the force-quit function though. Also, I haven’t had the ad issue after the first review so I suppose it’s all fine there.

It's good...at first.
the game is pretty decent, but only at the start. after the tutorial phase, it asks you to rate the game, then progression starts to falloff, then it introduces pop-up ads. All of which can be fixed by either a one-time payment or micro-transactions. It's literally just another money grabbing scheme, except they actually paid a decent artist to make this one look good, which is why this one is so disappointing. I hope anyone who reads understands to just not get your hopes up, especially if you still want to try it after reading the reviews.

Game is very fun and is an original experience. You complete increasingly difficult levels with multiple levels of strategy. You collect cards along the way and upgrade your ants which aid you in your adventure, but the you hit a paywall. It is nearly impossible to progress without spending money on sugar cubes to upgrade your cards or buy upgraded cards for the rarer ant species. Just an amazing game I’m almost 100% it
I absolutely love this game. I just can’t believe it’s free and it has so much in it. I have an idea for two new ants I would want to see in the game and I’ll give you them now the first day idea I have is the shotgun ant. It’s a range aunt that shoots a burst of projectiles it’s more expensive than the normal ranged ant but I would say it’s better offensively the next idea I have is a smaller loader ant that is way faster and cheaper, but carries less resources at a time. Overall, I love this game and I hope these ants get added.

Modern Day SimAnt
Incredible game and absolutely can’t wait for it to come out of beta. It’s like a modern day rendition of SimAnt with tower defense elements and I’m living for it! Amazing pixel graphics and art, good level design and an endless mode. Every criticism I could’ve given was already solved by the game itself since you unlock more features as you go. I ranked up the queen by merging 3 cards w 30 sugar (premium currency I grinded). Immediately lost the rank up, which is the only way to expand ur unit types to include a core unit: Defender. Their role is to prevent ur farming ants from getting picked off relentlessly Edit the update apparently unbroke it and I found the lost ranked up queen in my inventory. But definitely scary to be losing progress at all in a game like this! Score adjusted to 4 stars may adjust to 5 if no further progress is lost

Surprisingly Fun
I’m a big fan of simulations, the top in the game right now I would argue is “ManEater”. This game however is drastically up to par. The best ant simulator that exist. Even “Empire Ants”which release not too long ago pales in comparison. My only wish is that this game would become 3-D and with educational ant info sprinkled inside much like “ManEater”.

Prioritize types of buildings and ants getting stuck
Love the game so far. However there are two issues that I have. When making buildings I tend to pre plan everything and the buildings I want to get done first tend to be done last since they’re farther. With storage you can prioritize which storage to use, and I was wondering if the same could be applied to building, prioritizing which building to be done first. Another thing is that when I have a bunch of attacking ants in different layers, the ones closer to the top attack intruders first which is fine. But ants on different areas go back and forth instead of helping defend the queen,

This game is fun… but recently it has way too many ads. You’ll confirm building something only to get an ad that lasts like 30 seconds or more and makes you jump through a hundred hoops to close. I have trouble playing games daily and often take large breaks in between playing so there is a feature I believe was taken away but I’ll add that to the end of this but otherwise I’ll start listing what I like about this game! Mostly loved the game as it is free to play by default, but $7.50 a WEEK in order to avoid adds and do speed up for long wait times is ridiculous. Especially considering that they added “dynamic pricing”. So you’re not making an ant colony, you’re trying to do as much as you can with as few ants as possible. It was an Ant colony game, now it’s a hold down a button and wait game, or pay $7.50 a week to speed it up. That’s 3x more expensive than having the entire Xbox library for a whole month, and 3X more expensive than having all PlayStation plus games for a month. It’s way overpriced.

Fantastic Game! I’m obsessed.
For once I’m glad I clicked an ad by mistake. This game is great! My new favorite idle game, best one I’ve played in a while. Love that it combines idle/tower defense mechanics with a delightful bug theme. I can’t wait for more levels to beat! For now, I’ll be playing endless mode and having dreams about needing to spawn more loaders.

Really good concept, frustrating gameplay
Cool game, biggest issue is when I have 6 defenders and get attacked only 1 of them will go to defend the colony and the rest continue to patrol. Wish there was a bit more control. Once you get to harder levels you can’t afford to have your defenders not be fighting back

Perfect Game
Ant colony is just such an amazing game! The levels are challenging and complex. The various ants/queens in conjunction with upgrading cards keeps the game replayable and interesting. Having both an endless mode and a level mode has been keeping me playing for hours!! Very excited to see where they take it next!

Finally! A game that lets you honestly play an ant colony. Not an RTS with an ant veneer. Not a game monetized to oblivion with a vague ant theme. An honest ant colony sim. And it’s pretty good! The art is great. The limitless colony size is great. The ant behavior is very real seeming. Not having direct control is great. The game is pretty intuitive. Everything makes sense. There is a tiny bit of gacha to it, but it’s incorporated very smoothly. It doesn’t ruin the experience. Glitchy
The response time from the team is great. However, the game is buggy at times. I can never complete the endless mode and some levels due to the builders getting “stuck” on a tile and they start spinning and will no longer build or anything so you just wait to be overrun. Can’t even make more builders to make up for the fact the others are broken. It’s a great concept/game but development also appears slow.
