glimpse - photo dumps

the idea is great, it just pisses me off that it relies entirely on ai to make the video and put the clips together, i would much rather select the pics myself and choose my own music and time span for the pics i want to post. i love the concept, its just inconvenient in some ways.

How are you gonna make a photo dumping app where you cant even pick the photos you post!! Completely reliant on ai edits and its not fun

Its not letting me swipe out of my friends glimpses. I have to close the app then reopen it. Hmm also I want to be able to choose my own photos instead of having the app choose for me. Maybe y’all can filter my live photos out for me and then let me choose? Thatd me nice :) EDIT 5/13/24 Why do views from the same person show up like 4 times? That makes it rlly weird between people cause its like ur stalking them or someth… idk personally id rather not see how many times a person has looked at my glimpse. I wish you could filter the time span of the glimpse edit whenever you generate, right now it’s just a draft with a random time span. The edits are cool, but a more specific draft would be even better.

I’ve been so lazy about posting instagram stories, but this makes things so much easier!! it basically makes ur own instagram story without u having to do anything so it’s a win for me

Definitely a new take on sharing your life experiences such as BeReal or TikTok but more expressive with allowing to post little videos.

Really fun to do with friends! Would highly recommend. Coding is immaculate 10/10

Goodbye Facebook hello glimpse! I rarely post anything on social media anymore, but I have recently with glimpse. Who knew that the random photos on your camera roll would be worth sharing with close friends!? Well, they are, and it’s fun!

Glimpse taps the same sustainable social well as BeReal, but with a natural twist. This app doesn’t have many of my friends (yet) and still I feel myself coming back. Hope this thing pops, would be good for the human psyche.

All my closest friends live in different cities and using this app has helped us stay up to date on each others day to day lives. I love seeing the little moments!
