Description
With Pigeon, patients can communicate directly with their doctors through text messaging or using the Pigeon app. Patients simply send messages to their doctor's office, through text or the Pigeon app, and the message goes to the right staff member to see and respond directly to it.

We've made performance improvements to our search, inbox, and message fetching, resulting in faster load times and an overall smoother messaging experience.
If you are experiencing any issues with the authentication system, we have recently made changes to it. In case you are unable to log in, you can use the reset password functionality and follow the prompts to regain access to your account.

- Changelog: For each new release a change log window like the present one will display upon startup.
- Permissions Templates: In the Settings section there is now a slider to adjust user permissions. Rather than just using checkboxes, the slider allows for a faster setting of permissions using Level 1 to 5.
- Staff Pings: Relevant pings from other staff members now rise to the top of the inbox.
- Video Conferencing: The service provider was switched, functionality remains the same.

- Conversation last message now shows whether it was sent by staff or a patient using icons.
- Conversation marked as Action Required now display an hourglass if the last message in the conversation is a patient message. It represents the amount of time the patient has been waiting for an answer.
- Conversation Search Bar now allows you to search by name (first or last or both), patient DOB, patient phone number or nextgen person id.
- Preventing messaging of unverified patients (patients that have not yet validated their account by answering the DOB challenge). A resend verification button will show in that case. That functionality only works for Providers fully transitioned to v2 since we cannot have both v1 and v2 concurrently trying to verify the patient.
