We've been using Talk Fast every day and made it even better! Now you can upload audio files directly from your iPhone and transcribe them just like your live recordings. Perfect for when you record a voice memo and want to turn it into text later. The interface is smoother than ever - we've simplified the controls and made everything more intuitive. Just tap the plus icon to upload your audio files, or use the Talk button like before for live recordings. Your transcribed text is still just a tap away from being shared anywhere you need it. All the speed and accuracy you love about Talk Fast remains, now with more flexibility in how you capture your thoughts. Whether you're recording live or uploading files, Talk Fast continues to be the fastest way to turn your voice into text. As always, your privacy is protected - we don't store your audio files or transcriptions anywhere except on your iPhone. Keep talking fast!

In the last version we introduced our iMessages extension and in this version we add a sticky language selector, so each convo in iMessages can have it's own language. The convos will default to your Talk Fast settings chosen language or English. If you don't see the language you need, just contact us with a review or see our website!

This version introduces an iMessages app! Now you get the superior quality of Talk Fast directly for composing messages with your voice without a need to copy and paste. Just open up iMessages, tap the + icon, and look for the Talk Fast icon.

In 1.3 we are introducing actions! Talk Fast is all about using the power of your voice and AI to get text into your phone's clipboard. With actions, you can transform your transcriptions by running one or more actions on them, and the result, as always, is placed in your clipboard. Actions are powered by AI as well. You can choose from the following actions: 1. transcribe: this is the default action, accurate, lightning fast transcription right to your clipboard 2. make into list: this action will make a nice formatted list of whatever you said, perfect for a grocery or to-do list on the fly 3. email: this action will format what you said as an email, even create a Subject for you. When you use the Share button to share the email, the subject will be populated. If you are one of those weirdos who likes writing their own subjects, just say "Subject blah bah" at the beginning of your email 4. summarize (short): this action condenses your text into a summary 95% shorter than the original 5. summarize (medium): this action condenses your text into a summary 90% shorter than the original. 6. categorize: this organizes your text into numbered categories and provides a short summary of each 7. answer concisely: AI responds to your text with a short answer. This is useful if you have a question you need answered. You could use chat GPT, but this will get one answer quickly into your clipboard. 8. constructive feedback: use this if you want AI to give you feedback on your content. 9 rich text (markdown) - you can create markdown by saying things like "start list" and "end list" or "start bold" and "end bold" or "start quote" and "end quote". Experiment around and then you can export to your favorite notetaking app. We hope you enjoy actions, and we think it will open up a whole new direction for Talk Fast.

In Talk Fast 1.2 we are releasing modes that enhance the functionality of Talk Fast, and are toggled on and off in Settings. All the modes are designed to be intuitive, helpful, and work together. Tap anywhere near the Talk Fast icon at the top of the app to open Settings and see them. We are starting with two modes. First is "Background Mode" which allows you to record in the background while using other apps. This mode is enabled by default for all users but can be turned off in Settings. It's important to remember that you can accidentally leave the app recording in the background and we have you covered as we don't automatically transcribe super long recordings by default anymore. See the next mode. The second mode is "Control Mode”. When you are in this mode, you have three easy buttons to fully control recording; Start New, Pause/Continue and Transcribe. This mode is helpful if you want to record something longer. It is turned off by default but will be temporarily entered for any recording that exceeds 90 seconds. This time can be configured in Settings as well. We hope you enjoy these 2 modes and find that they make Talk Fast safer and more useful.

We are releasing a version that is free for 5 minutes of Talk Time, which is a lot of transcribed texts. This should give you a chance to get hooked. :). We hope you love it. After you use up your Talk Time, you can buy more for $1.99.
