Smart-Care

The Smart-Care app can be used on mobile phones as well as on tables and allows for an easy communiation with Amazon Echo Show devices that are for example installed in a care home or in any domiciliary care application. The main purpose of this app is to allow for sending messages such as text messages but also pictures that are on your mobile phone or just taken by the camera to a Echo Show device that is linked to mobile phone. The messages appear on the Echo Show and all pictures that are send are automatically displayed on the screen of the Echo Show in a rotation for a predefined time. The overall application on the Echo show is dedicated to elderly users, so access to the information is pretty easy for everyone. The app allows to setup four independent chats that can be joined by other family members that have also installed Smart-Care app on their mobile phone. All can then communicate to the Echo Show device that is installed in the care home or home of the elderly person. In this way, the overall family can join a single chat and exchange messages. On the Echo Show it is also possible to write messages or select a pre-defined answer to an incoming text message. In this way, everyone who is a member of this chat can actively participate in the discussion and information exchange.
