Government today is vast, but it is only as powerful as the people who give it strength, which at the end of the day is all of us. Many of us are frustrated with how inefficient government can be, and there is no easy solution. The way forward will never be by electing a super politician to fix all of our problems. It is our role as citizens to be as conscious as we can to steer society in the right direction. Becoming an informed citizen does not mean knowing the latest gossip from Capitol Hill, but rather understanding our communities and the actions government is taking, for better or for worse, so we can hold our representatives accountable and know how we want to move forward together.
