The new Tesco Mobile app is here! Whether you’re a pay monthly or pay as you go customer, our new app gives you all the useful features you need, exactly when you need them. Think of it as your phone’s helpful companion. You can view your bills and usage, top up and manage your bundles, set safety buffers and check out your upgrade options. All of this is available instantly, any time of day or night — so there’s no need to visit our Phone Shops. Still need additional support? No problem, our friendly customer services team are here to help. We’re available 7am – 11pm every day via secure in-app chat. Even if we’re not online, you can still drop us a message and we’ll respond as soon as we’re back. Take a closer look at everything you can do on the app: Pay monthly • Manage all the mobile numbers on your account and choose your Family Perks • Track your monthly data, minutes and texts and view your usage history • Add more data and minutes, or change your monthly data • Check when you can upgrade • Add your Tesco.com / Clubcard details to your Tesco Mobile account • Use your Clubcard vouchers towards paying your bill • View your recent bills and charges, and manage your safety buffer • Change your address • Get answers to useful FAQs • Chat with our customer care team via live in-app messaging Pay as you go Essentials • Check your top-up balance • View your remaining allowance of data, minutes and texts • Top up with a debit card, credit card, or Apple / Google Pay • Add or change your current Essentials bundle • Change your upcoming bundle. • Stop your current bundle to turn off auto-renewal • Chat with our customer care team via live in-app messaging Please note: this app is for customers on pay monthly contracts and Pay as you go Essentials. Terrible
I’ve used Tesco pay as go for years this new system is terrible it’s not pay as you go it’s more a month to month contract. I’m forgetful so each month I get cut off, I don’t realise until I’m out and about. So I have no internet so no way to top up. Tesco used to send reminders and alerts to let you know credit had ran out but not now. So what happen in an emergency or if I breakdown I can’t use my phone I’m stuck as can’t top up unless I have internet

Top up by phone please
It’s very inconvenient to not be able to top up over the phone. If I run out of data, I cannot top up on mobile data, nor by phone. Meaning I either have to have WiFi (which is not always an option) or find someone kind enough to hotspot their data with me. Please fix this asap.

Never had a problem with my Tesco pay as you go £10 bundle. Internet gets a little slack in summer time as I live at a seaside resort so many more people here. I would like to set it as a direct debt but for some reason it won’t set up ? But all in all a great service

Wish they would change the voice mail instructions
Its 1986 .. change the voice mail intro i don’t need instructions for 3 minutes every time i try to retrieve a messages..now my phone seems to sends me a text version of what is being said so thank goodness never have to listen to it again.

No top-up without data/wifi
I was happy with Tesco Mobile top-up service (4444) but it’s all changed and now it’s impossible to top-up if you run out of credit. I will be changing my provider to one that enables top-up from an automated 24/7 phone line or app and doesn’t require credit to do so. Sorry Tesco Mobile but you’ve gone from better by one of the best to the distressingly worst provider.

Went all the way down
The new Tesco Pay-As-You-Go system isn’t good. Right now you have to pay for a ‘bundle’ every month otherwise your calls will be charged at a higher rate. Because you are effectively being forced to pay for a bundle monthly, I would hesitate to actually call the new Tesco system ‘Pay As You Go’. Originally you could make a call without having to buy a bundle to avoid incurring higher charges.

I have recently travelled abroad twice outside of the EU I checked with Tesco prior to leaving and was advised that they could not offer a plan and had no advice On the plane I switched data roaming off and airplane mode on However upon arrival I received a text informing he I had used all my data and could not make calls or send texts I have had an online chat which got me nowhere The operative told me that in the first occasion I used my data in 2nd April even though I received the message on the 1st of April and my calls were blocked from that date I asked to escalate my complaint to someo

Development delivered too soon
1) I now can’t top up my iPhone if I am without WiFi or remaining credit so I have to keep checking 2) I have a Nokia back up and the loss of the basic top up using free text is a real pain 3) app delivered for delivery sake without fully resolving customer service issues

I pay as you go as a £10 too up last me a a month but every time I have to resign in, select my address put the card details in and then wait for ages for the bundle to upload. Sometimes I can’t log in, one month it took payment and didn’t reload says I don’t have an account. Have had to contact customer services on a number of occasions to sort things out which is a joy (NOT). Why did they have to change something that worked fine before?

However, there was this instance when they have started cheating the customers by draining the mobile data while it was on mobile data for a short period of time and then charging me a huge amount on the additional data. Terrible. Just awful experience.
The app used to be good with clear bundles, special offers and club card points. However they have completely changed it and managed to rob me of £15 in the past month. I have no record of where the money has gone as there’s no payment history. I will be changing to a different network as soon as I can. This is after I had a separate issue last month with them cancelling a bundle and taking an additional £15 for the same bundle. I argued with them about this and got it refunded but I can’t be consistently having money taken from me for no reason with no proof. Sort it out Tesco mobile.

I tried many times, but looks like THIS company doesn’t need customers. You need to put information to topup?? You need to register when I had no single email of Tesco, I don’t know even if I registered but not option to do it. Only I can try to catch a Tesco office to topup if I can, if not, not any single option. You have a mobile account or what? What is the verification needed when I only want to top up my account by using Apple Pay??

After being with Tesco mobile for 25 years, them fiddling with tariffs and regular issues with missing credit or credit being used up when the phone is has data switched off and issues with them effectively having two systems on which you cannot use the same email address which is ridiculous and being told I have to change my email address, get a new number, them misinterpreting GDPR and being told my phone would be disconnected for 72 hours whilst they sort their mess out I have gone elsewhere.

My mobile data should’ve refreshed yesterday (2nd) but then got a message saying that I’ve got 0.54gb left and now it’s saying it will refresh in 30 days? Where’s my data gone? First time this issue has happened to me, no chance I have used 6gb in a day! Most months I use nearly 6gb a month not a day! Is there a glitch within your system?

Yet another example of 2020’s efficiency.
DON’T FIX WHAT ISN’T BROKE. Remember when you could top up a pay as you go in under 2 minutes, from the number you were trying to top up from, using bank card digits; no emails nor accounts, NOR APPS required? It was much more efficient and quicker than it is now. Boycotting all Tesco products and services until this ridiculous new way, when the old way was not only fine but better and quicker than it is now. Also boycotting all companies that command me to “DOWNLOAD THE APP”. No. No more. I can live perfectly without internet on the go, as I have done so for years (and I’m only in my 20s)

Poor app, poor service
The app is tempermental, often cycling at login and requires frequent resets to login. This is backed up by an Indian call centre that makes communication almost impossible leading to them cancelling call. A call that wouldn’t be required if the app had the right functionality. Avoid Tesco and the minor telecoms companies and go with one of the big ones, the extra monthly cost is worth it to have apps that just work.

Simple but hard to use interface
The way the app works is fine and straightforward, but the screen doesn’t fit on an iPhone SE so I can’t actually add bundles as the confirm button was cut off, had to download the app onto my iPad which I’m lucky enough to be able to do. However this meant I was without data while out and about. Very frustrating

Can’t use
Not designed to fit the screen of smaller phones so you can’t add a bundle to your account. Now you can’t top up over the phone! So I have no way to top up now. I’m actually going to have to change providers to be able to use my phone, I hope the fix it! The new update would be good, much better than the old way (if it worked) and at least I can log in now (used to not be able to).

Your app is not working! If someone from Tesco mobile could try to look at the MOST RECENT reviews they will see that everyone who has taken the time to alert you that the recent “update” Has resulted in no access to the app. Took 8 minutes to finally speak to someone on the phone about it but they expected me to stay on the phone & jump through hoops to make a complaint. Absolute rubbish. Got a new sim. I’ve just spent the last hour trying to buy data for it on this app and by the web and on the phone only to discover that first time users can only do it with a voucher so now I have to go 4 miles to get one. Sod that, looks like i’ll be going to the ee shop upstairs instead. And why won’t the app accept apples random password suggestions? Useless. The leaflet that the sim was sent in is full of lies

Long term user of Tesco Mobile …
As a Tesco mobile user of many many years I’ve converted husband over too, and dispensed with BT with LANDLINE OF 44 years . So far so good . App great too. However a competition was sent by email but my texts say undelivered 🤷‍♀️rang customer service and the guy didn’t know what I was talking about . So dissappointed a completion offered that seems un operational . Shame .

Just Brilliant Mobile Company
First Class Pricing and Customer Service. Tesco Mobile use the O2 Network. There are some exceptional deals available especially if you hold a Tesco Clubcard. Having experienced both EE and O2 (directly) Tesco Mobile beat them in every aspect.

Why does Tesco have 3 apps and none of them work?? I don’t understand the difference between each of them? Login experience is awful and after countless negative reviews I’m baffled the mobile product team are not looking into this? Please invest in one app that covers all scenarios for your mobile users! Personally I don’t think Tesco Mobile is as good as it used to be. I recently had to contact customer services, which I discovered was South Africa. No longer any customer services in the UK. Tried to negotiate my bill as I was at end of contract and prices have gone up. No such luck. No point in staying with Tesco no perks for long-standing customers 😔

My internet is down at home! BT are sending a new router! Several tests have been carried out by BT this week! Hence I’m using my phone data more! I’ve increased my buffer to £20. Your latest text to me says this is running out! I’ve not used my phone much today, so cannot understand why it’s costing so much! Please look into this! Hi the staff on the phone at Tesco help fully but apple are ripping me off as I had to top up £8.50 this month for data on top off my monthly contract . The staff have given me 1 gb for free as the £8.50 has ran out before my next month bill. I have always only use 1.5gb for the last 5 years now with this new I phone 13 which is s—t I find myself paying what it would cost me to have the lasted phone out for the same price this I believe to be apple fault Anyone out there who are having the same problem post on here see ,if not the only one
