I’ve been using this app since 2019, and overall you can do a lot with it! Built in transitions that you can adjust to suit your needs, visualized audio wave patterns to help you get precise in your edits/timing, in-app tutorials to teach you how to use different tools, and the biggest selling point has to be the one-time payment at a reasonable price. However, this app is best used for short, relatively simple projects. Just get the regular Cute Cut app.
Okay so, they have two apps. This one, and one called just Cute Cut. I recommend getting the one just called Cute Cut because the two apps are almost identical. And if I remember correctly the other app only had me pay $5 to get the watermark removed. And this app is $9.99 so you’re paying nearly double for only a few extra features. 100% recommend just getting the other app. I had gotten this one because I thought it would have better and more features than the cheaper one but doesn’t. Falling apart
I bought the app forever ago and, for a long time, never had any issues with it. It was simple and easy to go in, do exactly what I wanted to do and make what I wanted to make, and be done. Why does it take forever to export and for some of my videos I’ve edited on this app, they don’t export at ALL. It says it’s 2 k supported but it doesn’t export at all any edited videos. I’ve had this app since I was 14 so I’ve been using it for years to make videos with zero issues at all! It has an easy to use interface, amazing quality, one time payment! The only thing that was wrong is the new update…it just makes the audio off-time since the new update and the audio sync is so super important for edits! Love the app btw no hate here! I’ve used cute cut pro for literal years and the most recent update has really messed up what I do. Videos will not play consistently and will often break with there is an image or even audio. I don’t want to learn another app I see the improvements that have been done just make it stop breaking. I’ve tried working around it but it just gets to a point where I’m wondering if it’s easier just to learn something else.

Annoying glitches
I use this app for all my edits, it’s super easy to navigate and work with. My problem is when I go to add a video from photos, I’m pressing the photo and it’s not uploading. I restart the app, uninstall + install again, everything, but the only way to solve the issue is restarting my phone (using iphone14). So everytime I wanna add a video from photos, which is my go-to method since it’s easier for me, or extract audio from a video from photos, I have to restart my phone and reconnect all my equipment and it’s quite annoying, especially since I paid the money for this app because of its featu

The latest 4/25 update has LOTS of bugs. I’ll wait it out to see if they smooth it out. All the latest reviews are the same things I’ve experienced. When trying to add second, or more clips together, app will not accept a second clip until restarting. Rebooting phone helps me limp through one clip at a time. Great app until update. I can open the app and scroll through my projects with zero lag but then moment I click on any work it freezes the entire app. Only today was I able to open any files and even that took several minutes to open after being clicked (all the while the app was frozen). Unusable after recent update
I have been using Cute CUT Pro for over a decade now for any video editing I ever needed. I never had any issues with the app until today. I noticed the app had an update and I’m not sure why an update would cause these problems, but it made the app unusable for me now. While editing my video, the app was slow and unresponsive at times. But the worst change is the export time. I used to be able to export and save 30+ minute videos at 1080p and 60fps in 15-20 minutes. I've been using this app since 2016 and its been nice to see that they're finally updating the app because its one of the most underrated editing apps on mobile! I literally use this app almost everyday and it's been like that for almost 10 years. But this recent update is one of the worst updates I have ever seen by far. i’ve been using the pro version since ~2018 and it used to work great! with this recent update though… the smaller text format feels clunky, and the removal of clearly defined editing options was confusing. it took me a few minutes to find where to extract audio because the white text on the translucent black background blended in too well with my camera roll. projects become damaged for no reason (one i started literally today where i just shortened and added a fade-out transition to audio just imploded about 10 minutes or so after creation) and these “damaged” projects show right back up eve

I love Pro!
I know that pro doesn’t seem to do much more than the unpaid version but unlimited video times and no watermark, but I’m glad that out of all types of editing apps I’ve ever tried this is a one time pay! After you pay once you don’t need to do anything else related to a membership and etc. I’m just glad that Cute Cut Pro has an eating app that is without a membership, I’m glad this editing app is around and I’m positive this app will sore high, even without a membership! 😊

Love this app, a few suggestions!
I’ve been using Cute Cut for 7 years now. Best editor I’ve ever bought, especially since it’s a mobile app. However, it lacks in a few things mode editors seem to have that I think would benefit this app tremendously. Custom transition graphs and parent layers. On an app call Alight Motion, you’re able to customize the easing in a transition - changing how bouncy it is and how smooth it is. Good editor. Needs a few things
This is a very versatile editor for a phone app, my two things to complain about are that there should be a way to select and move multiple items at a time. I have a video where I have to trim out about 40 seconds in the middle and moving all the pieces individually is quite monotonous, so being able to just remove that blank space or move the other items all at once would help a lot. When I go to the drag and select feature (the one that gives you the option to delete or insert blank) and try to delete, it often crashes. And by often I mean always. Save Your Money
This app crashes often. One of my videos had minimal editing (four layers. one picture, two texts, one music) and it’s unable to open. Whenever I try, the app crashes. So there goes that. It also has folders to help you organize your videos, which would be cool if the videos could actually move into the folders. Whenever I try moving them, the video and the folder disappear. So there goes that. And it’s just unsatisfying to use. Like you have to do a lot just to achieve the bare minimum. Unless you only plan on using this for small videos that are under five minutes, I can’t recommend this.

Spent like two hours editing a video and when I hit the back button it said “saving”….so I thought it would be fine. Went back into the video about a minute later and all the files are suddenly corrupt, even though I never deleted/altered any of the original videos or images. New Update Ruined It For Me
I miss the old version of this app, I’ve been using Cute Cut Pro for a total of 3 years and have never had issues up until now. It constantly crashes, it doesn’t let me play the video, for brief periods of time I can’t hear the audio in the beginning of playing the videos — there’s so much more I could list but those are my main inconveniences when it comes to the app. Editing went from a quick couple hours to a FEW hours. So I was trying to make a lil video and I didn’t want the background to just be white I figured that be too boring so I was gonna change it up and got the appropriate proportions for a portrait type. I used this app for years now and what i loved about it was the simple UI and video editing capabilities. Now with this new update, the developers have completely trashed that in favor for a messy and buggy UI. Did you guys even TEST the update before releasing it? The Best $6 I Have Ever Spent

This app was great before It became modern. The modernization wasn’t the even the problem. This app is just a lame version of cap cut now. The old version had not only originality but simple features anyone could learn and pick up. Although some of the core elements have stayed, it lost what made it cute cut. we’re sooo close but
if you delete a video you exported from your camera roll, the app will complete forget about the video entirely and deleted from existence. i know it’s possible to do this, since literally every other app doesn’t have this problem. as for the limited space for transitions, they’ll be a small but big enough space to put a transition, but it will say that there’s no room. i never understood why that was EVER a feature just make the window for that better. again, i don’t believe this is even a problem in other programs. another issue i never understood is why you can’t overlay more than 2 videos,

Loving the updates
I’ve been using this app for around 3 years, and it’s extremely easy to use. The new updates are improving the experience a ton. I love the chroma key and the “turn off auto-snap” additions. The membership is a one-time payment! Even if you don’t buy the membership, the free version is great too. One of the best, easiest editing apps for a phone. I’d highly recommend it!
