Good app, but needs some update/
I have used this app for a number of years. I find it to be a good app for finding the lessons of the day and going directly to them, but there are several issues. 1st - if i am leading worship from the eCP, I really need to know the page numbers to tell the congregants who are following in the BCP. It would be helpful to be able to enlarge the print for my aging eyes. 2nd - I really like that the collect and lessons are given for the Lesser Feasts and Fasts days, but I would really like to have the background blurb for the saints given so I don’t have to bring along the hard copy to share

I use it DAILY
I start my day with eCP by reading the Daily Office readings. I find that by doing that first thing, I actually DO IT - rather than thinking I’ll find a quiet time soon. (Hint: I take a few pills in the morning as many of us do. The last of those is a vitamin B-12 lozenge which dissolves under the tongue. I read my Daily Office as the B-12 is absorbed — so my brain is being fed in two ways at the same time. I also use eCP in church to follow the readings. The small annual subscription fee is a nit! This is well worth the cost and we don’t really expect people to develop and maintain the servi

Now Costs More, Now Does Less
I purchased this years ago, and found that I needed to update it. Now it is a subscription that DOES NOT INCLUDE many important parts of the BCP. Think, for example, Ordination. Worse, when you are asked to pay for the missing portions via in-app purchases, the functionality does not work. I can’t seem to even get it to allow me to purchase the additional content. I’m reminded when I stopped using this app. It is very frustrating.

Crashes often.
I have used the eCP app for years. I originally bought the app before it became a subscription. I appreciate having it available on my iPhone but it crashes often and in order to use it I have to turn my phone off then reboot. This does not happen to any other app on my phone. I have even deleted it and reinstalled it nothing seems to solve the problem. Does anyone else have this problem?

All in favor of using the BCP. It is a treasure. But Moving to a subscription model with a high cost without providing added value is a terrible decision. Getting the BCP out to anyone and everyone who wants access ought to be a priority funded by the TEC. In addition, at this ongoing price point The eCP app should include access to authorized worship/prayer resources including LFF, lyrics Hymnal 1982 (as much as a possible with copyright), all EOW resources, and Weekday Eucharistic Lectionary, etc.

Could the calendar actually match how the BCP calendar works?
Hello, I am grateful that this app exists. I wish it hadn’t shifted from the one time price to an annual subscription, but I made that shift. I would like for the app to have the correct information according to the BCP calendar, given that we are paying for the annual subscription. I keep hoping you’ll fix this, and I think I wrote about this before, but I’m writing again. When a major feast, such as St Barnabas, falls on a Sunday, please put the information for St Barnabas not on Sunday, but on the transferred day. Leaving everything to others
I agree with a previous reviewer that this used to be my go-to source for all things prayer book. Along with the inexplicable demand for a subscription came a design change that made it harder to use. But chiefly I note with Odin that the so-called Anglican tradition in North America had multiple functional daily prayer apps available for free and the Roman Catholics have a LOT of breviary-based apps available for free. It’s frustrating (and embarrassing) that I can’t find one integrated (with daily RCL readings) Episcopalian daily prayer app that is free. Just shameful. I understand copyright

Disappointing. Seems odd to charge folks an annual or monthly fee to access something (the BCP) that you can find easily with a quick google search. As regards to prayer/devotional use, this app is FAR less functional than both the Venite and/or Forward Day by Day apps — which are FREE. This is just another example of The Episcopal Church not understanding the way technology could be used to share the Good News.

I bought this app several years ago and was happily using it for personal devotions as well as a pastoral care resource. Notice I said I paid for the app. Then CPG updated the app (it’s still BCP, so the content is the same) and posted that everyone must pay a subscription fee to use this going forward. I’m disappointed, and have also decided to use a different BCP app.

Leaving a review because it is unclear how to get in touch with developers: the new color scheme (with red rubrics) is great in light appearance, and ill bible in dark mode (just the rubrics)- I suspect the brightness differential between the white type and the red is just too great. Perhaps light gray or light pink for the rubrics in dark mode would work better.

The BCP is not copyrighted: why pay for this?
Loved the old app & was mightily disappointed with this turn. The Prayerbook was intentionally not restricted by copyright in order to encourage its wider use. This clearly is having an opposite effect. I broadcast Compline each evening, and instead of clicking through on a single site, I now have to tab back & forth from the bcponline and the Satucket lectionary. A minor inconvenience, but still …

No longer an affordable alternate
I have used an earlier version of this app extensively and found that, while it had some bugs, it was simple to use and useful. The developers have now added all sorts of bells and whistles and decided to charge a monthly fee. Perhaps others can afford this idea that if you are an Episcopalian you can afford this but frankly I can’t. Back to paper for me. It would be greatly appreciated if a simple version were still available for those of us unable to afford a monthly fee.

New Update/Subscription
I am not financially well off, I have rent, medical prescriptions and a family to feed and clothe. I paid for the app initially and put it to use as a discrete way to add daily prayer to my life while at work and school. I recommend it to people who were learning more about daily prayer. During the pandemic it provided a vital lifeline to continued worship for me an my family and made the liturgy accessible to me, a lay person. With the new update it is no longer as useable and I don’t use it as much because it is so difficult to navigate Subscription fees seem affordable at first but quic
