What’s New Version 1.7.6

Minor cosmetic updates

Description

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Pathlight™ is a mobile tracking application designed to give you peace of mind when travelling between locations on campus. Indicate in Pathlight how many minutes your trip will take, the location of your destination, and then click Follow Me Now. Your position will be monitored from the time you start an escort until you click the I have arrived safely button.

Minor App Updates.
Build 817694789v1.7.42016-06-29 14:54:14
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. Fixed a potential issue for first time users where hitting the track button would cause the application to exit. This issue was introduced in version 1.7.2.
Build 817030931v1.7.32016-04-18 15:38:01
The track button will now work regardless of whether the inform button is enabled or not.
Build 816789875v1.7.22016-04-06 17:30:35
User interface elements such as the "Authenticate my device" button in the settings view can now be seen clearly on first app install. User can send messages to dispatch during an ongoing escort. Destination list is now preserved at the end of an escort. Server URL may now be selected from a list of available servers.
Build 814065914v1.7.12015-11-02 19:24:46
1. Resolved issue introduced in version 1.7.0 that caused location data not to appear in Pathlight Monitor. 2. Resolved an issue where the location updates would not happen while the app was running in the background.
Build 813553218v1.7.02015-10-14 15:21:42
You can now use Pathlight to send messages to dispatchers. You can report incidents, provide additional information after sending a request for help, and more. These messages can include a text description and an image from your mobile device. You may also hide your name if you wish to remain anonymous. Your institution must support messaging before it will be enabled on your device.
Build 812661191v1.6.12015-07-01 20:03:21
A new option in the settings view will allow you to enable signaling for help when your headphones are pulled. Pathlight must be either running an escort or visible on your device to detect the headphone being pulled.
Build 812430329v1.6.02015-06-03 21:59:38
Added additional security features that can cause the app to continue to actively provide location updates in the event of an overdue or "not moving" condition. This behavior must be enabled by the institution. The app now displays a warning message and alerts you if you are standing still too long. This is because being still too long may mean that you require assistance. If you need more time before you expect to be moving and do not want to cause a "not moving" alarm you can press the new "Standing still for a moment" button Added an additional way to signal that help is needed. Pulling the headphones out of your device while running the Pathlight app will (when enabled by the institution) do the same thing as the "Help Me" slider. This behavior must be enabled by the institution before it will function on your device. It is now recommended that you never unplug your headphones when the app is visible or during an escort unless you require immediate assistance.
Build 812213297v1.5.22015-04-16 16:55:31
Corrected an issue where the user was not prompted to enable location services for Pathlight. This would prevent Pathlight from tracking the user's location.
Build 812057165v1.5.12015-04-07 19:40:35
Tapping the help phone button during an escort will now dial the number. A dialog will now warn when location tracking is disabled. Corrected an issue that prevented the settings button on the location tracking alert from working.
Build 811863903v1.5.02015-03-20 17:25:20
Tapping the help phone button during an escort will now dial the number. Added support for iOS8.
Build 10582874v1.4.62012-09-15 18:08:43
Improved handling of network errors and the app has been renamed to "Pathlight" (formerly "Follow Me").
Build 7878470v1.32012-07-12 00:17:42
