Description
Use this MDOTTraffic application to access real-time traffic alert information from across the State of Mississippi.
Features of this app include:
•Push, text or email notification of real-time traffic alerts
•Access to statewide streaming traffic cameras
•Statewide GPS traffic alert details
This application can be used as a companion to the mdottraffic.com website. At mdottraffic.com, users can configure alerts related to their preferred driving routes. Text, email or push notifications can be enabled to notify users of traffic alerts on their home, work or school routes.

* Added an Alert Muting Panel that allows for more control over notifications (alarm bell icon)
* Added a Settings Panel Toggle to remember last map location on application launch
* Reduced data and battery usage by enabling up to 6:1 compression during content refreshes
* Improved push notifications to provide more information regarding severity
Please note that notifications are presented locally on your mobile device based on your location. In order to be notified of a traffic incident that is relevant to your location the app requires that Location Services is set to “Always” for this app.
Please check the location settings for MDOT Traffic on your iOS device: Settings / Privacy / Location Services / MDOT Traffic. If you desire to be notified of alerts make sure this is set to “Always”.
