Description
New Yr on iPhone and iPad is different from anything else you’ve seen in weather forecasting: Scroll through a beautiful and animated sky to see how the weather changes hourly, and get all the need-to-know details at the same time. And if there will be rainfall within the next 90 minutes we'll let you know through our now-cast.
The weather visualization makes it a fun experience to check the weather – even when it’s raining!
Check details day by day and hour by hour in the long-term forecast, or study the details in the graph.
Under "Around you" you get an overview of air pollution, pollen spread and UV forecast, as well as the latest weather observations in your area.
Forecasts are delivered by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
ABOUT US: Yr is a weather service jointly produced by NRK and the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Our primary goals are to secure life and property, while delivering useful and accurate weather forecasts to our users, preparing them for all kinds of weather. This year we are celebrating our ten-year anniversary, and with millions of users every day we are proud of being one of the most popular weather services in the world.

- Fixed a bug that could cause the app to freeze when navigating to the Profile page if you were not logged in.
- Fixed a bug where the webcam preview in Other notifications was not updating correctly.
- Fixed a bug where the start location selection was not taken into account if location-based weather forecast was turned on.
- Fixed a bug where if you had location-based weather forecast turned on and opened the app from the widget, the map would load infinitely.
- Fixed a bug where the “turn on location” button in the error message did not update the location as it should.

Love the UI/UX of this app
Really great app. I usually use the Apple Weather app, but I found it not sufficient to give an accurate forecast of the weather in Oslo. So I downloaded YR and it’s been great to give me a more accurate forecast of daily weather. The UI/UX is fantastic, especially with the functionality to drag left to see upcoming hours/days. Great work!

Doesn’t display maximum temperature
I like the app for its granular forecasts but it has a major flaw. It does not show the maximum/high temperature of the day. Not in its widget summary, and nowhere easy to see. You have to go into the hourly view to find the true high temperature of the day. Extremely frustrating how it displays ex. A high of 90 F, and then only when you enter into hourly view do you see temps will reach 95 F in the afternoon. Such a stupid mistake. Please fix.

Does not use modern technology and algorithms for accurate weather prediction. Precipitation forecasts are misleading and false, especially when it rains when Yr forecasts no rain. Yr seems to use outdated weather models from 1960 😂

Works great on iPhone 15, reports conf issues on Apple Watch
While trying to use the Yr app on Apple Watch v10.5 the app reports Missing configuration. Go to settings In the Yr app on your phone.
I did and failed to find anything mentioning configuration settings.
I’ve since restarted both my iPhone and watch still the watch app doesn’t app to work at all.

Problematic after update
It used be a fine app.
After recent update, it sometimes cannot display the initial screen. Waiting forever until my weather pops up.
And search function has been messed up. I can enter and find my locations in Korean anymore. It does not search English locations either.
Needs to be fixed.

Watch widget seems to have location issues
Fine app, tends to underpromise rather than overpromise. Only issue, which has happened for a while, if you use the watch widget as "a complication" (I believe they're called when you configure it on the watch face, it doesn't update location. I have given it access to location "Always," but right now I see the weather for Amsterdam (while in London)

Got this app as my friend recommended like really good for every minute weather forecast. Last year worked really good, this year is very bad.
Right now its raining where I am and it will rain for next 1h but app says only clouds.

I really want to see the humidity please! 25C is pleasant with low humidity, but kicks my but with high humidity. I travel a lot for work so I don't know what kind of humidity to expect in any given city. Please add the humidity!

Wish it was accurate
Really wanted this app to work - it’s clean, has beautiful UI, is ad free, and even shows the state of the moon and when it rises and sets (in the background animation).
However, it appeared totally inaccurate.
I tried it for a bit, regularly comparing it with other weather sources; Yr was always way off from the others, sometimes by as much as ten degrees.

Inaccurate wind speeds
There is only one way I can criticize this app: the wind speeds (Cape Town) are often very wrong, compared to all other weather apps I use - Weatherbug, Windy, AccuWeather. Today and the rest of this week, the wind speeds are roughly one quarter of the other above apps.
