Can be frustrating and confusing for guests
I sent my save the dates on paperless post. When you send your guests upstate’s it’s very confusing for them as almost no one can figure out the “tap to view” feature. I wish it sent my updates as an actual sms. Also- I tried to send out everyone my wedding website and they do not make links clickable in their messages. It was a very expensive e-vite that was supposed to save me time from texting everyone, but now I have to do it anyway because of many complaints of confusion.

Coins Make No Sense
Overall the app is a great concept and works very well. I wish there were more options of invites or more ways to edit them. What I don’t like is that you can’t edit how many guests an invitee can bring via the app. You can only do that on the desktop site. What I hate is the coin payment system! It’s very confusing and inconvenient. Just put a usd price per invite. The coin system makes no sense and should be removed. Intentionally or unintentionally misleading consumers about cost can lead to legal problems.

Too Expensive and Hard to Use
This is an absolute nightmare of an app! The test links often don’t work. You can’t send a test to co-hosts for proofreading. This is more effort than mailing paper invitations and somehow cost way more money than nice paper invitations even after you include postage. You also can’t just pay for what you use. They make you buy more “coins” than you need. This app is a rip off. I don’t know who is using this.

Glitchy
I have been using Paperless Post for years but in recent years i find it really slow and glitchy. For example I have been trying to edit some text on a card I want to send and it keeps reverting back to the previous text every time i press the save button. I am beyond frustrated. I’ve tried opening and closing the app, all the things one does. I really love the cards so much more than other apps and all my previous cards are saved but man am I frustrated with the app. I am using it an iPad Pro.

I had high hopes for this app. I tried the “free version” but still had to pay to send out invites. It took me along time to figure out how to “buy coins” just to do simple things. They trick you by saying certain designs are different amount of coins and each invite costs “coins” too. It’s confusing. Making edits was extremely frustrating on the template. I have tried other apps and they work much better and are actually free. The only reason I gave this one a try was because it had a specific theme design for my kid’s birthday party. I’ve used the app since 2016. It was good at the beginning and free. Now it’s a hot mess. Won’t send invites, freezes multiple times a day, difficult to add guests. Says 5 coins per invite but if there’s a plus one you get charged double- for the one sent invitation, even if they haven’t rsvp’d with a plus one. Party planning is challenging enough sending the invitations shouldn’t be the hardest part. I won’t be using again. There are so many other options that are free or same price point

The screen repeatedly freezes in the app when I am trying to invite people. For what ends up being a very expensive fancy email/texting app, the features should work flawlessly- see of use is the product. I downloaded this app to create invites for my son’s grad party. It got names and posts mixed up. It shared people’s personal information like names and numbers with other people on my list and they did not know. The whole thing was a mess. I don’t know if I set up wrong or what. Wow, am I disappointed in this. I thought I was gonna have a nice seamless process, but this has been one of the most complicated ways to create a party invitation I’ve ever experienced in my life. The concept of coins is so ridiculous. Just tell me how much money you want from me instead of using a weird coin system that is completely abstract and made up. It’s really annoying. I do not recommend getting this app. Yes the designs are nice, but the recipients don’t really know how to RSVP because it’s not that clear. Especially for older people.

There are currently problems with adding contacts. I also added a description to the invitation and lost all content despite saving as I went and I had to start over. The app is OK, makes nice looking invites— but it glitches! I was over charged $100 (and the invites are already pricy). There are several other glitches as well. I contacted them via email (only option) to be refunded. Which I received, but then they removed ALL the coins from my account— even the ones I had paid for. I’ve used paperless post many times over the past 15 years — birthday parties, dinners, save-the-dates— and always thought it offered a beautiful product at a reasonable price with reliable quality. But I just used it for an event and I can’t say enough terrible things about the tracking. More than half of my guests never received the emails, which show as both sent and opened on my end. I am very dissatisfied. Even though Tech Support is working with me, I have multiple people who are not able to open the invitation that was sent to them! This is requiring a lot of work on my part to get the invitations that I paid for to the people that were invited to the event. The website was also very difficult to maneuver around while trying to create and edit the invitation. Even though I enjoy the variety on the ability to choose envelopes and text font and designs. I have used paperless post for while for the past 2-3 years. Some little things in editing on mobile was a little glitchy but overall a decent price for digital invites. However just this year they doubled the pricing and that is a significant increase. I think I will start looking elsewhere for an alternative. The app crashes a lot and things like deleting a draft don’t work they’re just stuck there. I have mixed luck with creating a “family/group contact” sometimes it saves … sometimes it doesn’t no matter how much I try. Also, browsing card designs … maddening. This app is a nightmare it is constantly freezing. I’ll go to select something and it will not go. Then after I got through all of the work of finally getting it to where I needed it wants to charge me 5coins an invite to send a DIGITAL text invite. I sent 8 invites and it now says I have zero coins and will not let me send more. 8 x 5 = 40. I should have 60 coins left. This app has so many great features and I chose it specifically because I wanted to design my own invites and it was pretty cost effective. I will suggest that the app needs a confirm before sending option. I ran into an issue where I accidentally clicked send and I had yet to double check my invite list. It was too easy to send to all. Also, if sending an invite to 4 people and only 2 will be attending, it doesn’t give the guest an option to say who will be coming. Wish it prompted guests to write in names of who was coming. I don't get the coin idea, but besides the coins I love this app. I had to create an invitation quick and it was so effortless and easy and that's why I love this app. My son always wants to design cards and thinks its so fun. I love how whenever you change a detail that you miss wrote on the card, it sends a new email and I love the fact that it does it for you. Anyways I love this app so much.
