DO NOT TRUST BUDGET AIR

I booked through SkyScanner and unfortunately, they include Budget Air which is a scam company. Look up their reviews. All one stars. I reached out to support and told them not to reach out to Budget Air, and they did the exact opposite. I hardly write reviews, but this is crazy. I booked through Budget Air, only to find out they canceled my flight without my consent the same day I booked it, and then got Frontier Airlines to confirm they issued the refund to Budget Air!? I reached out to Budget Air and get this, they say the airline is lying and then told me to send them my passport photos. I

Very basic, use Google Flights for long term flight tracking!

It’s great for last minute bookings, also used Skiplagged for last minute flight booking. There used to be the filter for choosing different continents, well they got rid of that which is a bummer. However there algorithms for flight prices has been more accurate. Unfortunately, for long term flight tracking details I’d recommend Google Flights, as the prices lead you to official airline site.

Broken

The app has stopped showing correct prices, and will not update when searching flexible dates within a given month. It has basically stopped functioning entirely. There is nowhere to report bugs or issues within the app, and support takes you to an infinite drop down menu of potential help desk questions with no way to report an issue. I would not download this app until they fix the clearly major bugs going on right now.

Unfortunately unreliable

I set a price alert for direct flights from IAH to Montego Bay Jamaica on December 30 departure to January 5 arrival. At some point Skyscanner lost track of the only direct flight on those dates which is United airlines from those destinations and it didn’t inform me about the price increase that was happening because it no longer even shows that flight or any direct flights for those days. I found out the hard way that the only reliable way to see all flights is to just go directly through the airline apps. The flight has now gone up $300. I’m canceling my trip because of this.

Caught them stealing cc number

My credit card number was stolen twice in a row using this app. The first time I had to get a new cc but the second time I was ready for it and caught them: I know for sure that it was the transaction on this app, specifically, because I used a cc number that was unique to that transaction. Update: the developer of this app responded stating that they don’t take responsibility for the credit card issue because they are not the ones directly processing the payments. I have used Skyscanner for years now. This such an easy way to find flights anywhere in the world. The reason I only gave it 4* is because I think it needs at least 2 upgrades. 1. A way to favorite both airports and airlines. Let’s face it, most people begin a trip from their local airport. Why not let people favorite at least that one. 2. We need way to switch between class of cabins without having to go back to the beginning. Find a way to scroll between first, business, premium economy, and economy all on the same screen. Very unpredictable app as far as usability

Skyscanner sometimes works great, but whether you will really be able to search what you’re looking for is a toss up. The app sometimes will changes requested dates, or flip from one way to round trip, despite multiple attempts to change the desired filters. I thought this was only on my iPhone but on desktop it’s even worse. I hope whatever glitches are present can be fixed on the next update because when it works, Skyscanner is great.

Can’t change or even delete when putting two cities under “multi city”. Can’t change sorting standard. (Since you requested update and here is the problem I experienced: under multi-city, I put PHX-KOA on 1/24 and KOA-HNL on 1/29 and no result shows up despite there are multiple flights available. At this time, I can not delete flight leg and can only add and change, previously I said I cannot change). No result on two cities might be because the APP is expecting me to use “one way”?

Glitchy to the point of being useless. Click on a price and shows as available and when you reach the next screen the prices are much higher or there are no flights available at all. GoTo app for finding travel info

I have been using SkyScanner for over five years now and I find it amazingly helpful for finding air flights at reasonable prices with a wide range of filters to screen out undesirable flights. SUGGESTION: I think it would be a fabulous addition to allow filtration of flights on desired minimum and maximum connection time. While overall flight time is a meaningful filter, being able to filter on the connection time for 1+ stop flights would make this app a clear winner.

It’s really stupid that their options for class are “Economy”, “Premium Economy”, “Business”, and “First”. There’s literally nothing under “premium economy”. Disappointing Experience with Flyin Booked Via Skyscanner

I booked flight through Skyscanner with a company called Flyin. Unfortunately, they took my money without actually booking the ticket. I was told to expect a refund in three working days, and another 5-7 working days with my bank to receive the money on my account. This means i have to wait two weeks to get my money. And three days has been completed and till now they didn’t initiate the refund from their side. I escalated thr issue to skyscanner, but they couldn’t assist as flyin is unresponsive. Been using for many years

Bug with car rental. ALWAYS shows a "press to show your human" and says "check your internet connection" in red. It doesn't let me press anything. Then it goes away, then it only actually shows me results 5% of the time. Regardless of what connection I have, it shows this- wifi, data, etc.

This site can’t back up its prices

I tried to book a flight with business class reservations on this site. When the confirm came back less than 30 Minutes later, the price was 29% higher. I declined the booking and complained. Business class reservations stated that they were not able to secure the tickets from the airline (Air France) at the price they were advertising, but still show the lower price on the app. This is fraud and false advertising. I have used Skyscanner for years, but no more. Why try to use this service if it bait and switch.

Do not use for rental cars!!!

I will never use again for rental cars. It referred me to book a deal with a company called holiday autos. It is a sketchy company and not worth the “deal”. They miss charged my credit card and admitted to over charging me on “accident”. I also was then charged by the rental company as Holiday Autos did not cover the full vehicle. I basically paid double the worth of the original rental. Would have been cheaper to rent direct at the counter. Trying to use this to find the cheapest non-stop flight options does not seem to be possible. I even tried the “AI” based “Savvy Search”, but it always finds the cheapest overall dates - and once I then get to select “Direct”, the rates are no better than any other dates. When searching the site will continuously try to go away from 'Cheapest', and change to 'Best. Sorry, but that's your idea of 'best' - not mine! The other thing that bothers me a lot is that Skyscanner makes no allowance for the millions of people who cannot fly through the US, or are married to someone who cannot fly through the US. This site badly needs a 'not through US button'. Otherwise you quickly eliminate your top ten choices because they do fly through the US, then need to start your search all over again!
