The NissanConnect® EV & Services** app is designed especially for owners and drivers of the Nissan LEAF® (Model Year 2018-2025). The NissanConnect EV & Services** app lets you manage the unique features of your LEAF like charging the battery, adjusting climate controls and checking the battery status, all from your mobile device. You can also personalize the app dashboard with the features that you use the most. LEAF drivers require an active subscription to access the features of NissanConnect EV**, but it is complimentary for the first three years of ownership. NissanConnect EV & Services is available for the following models and trim levels (Model Year 2018-2025): - LEAF SV - LEAF SV PLUS - LEAF SL PLUS Model year 2018-2025 LEAF owners require an active subscription to NissanConnect EV with Services** powered by SiriusXM®. As an added security measure, a PIN is required before the Remote Door Lock/Unlock feature can be used. This PIN is established when enrolling in NissanConnect EV with Services**. If you have not yet enrolled in NissanConnect EV with Services** or need to reset your PIN, download the NissanConnect EV & Services app or visit www.owners.nissanusa.com. Clunky, Glitchy, Subpar
This app has never worked well or really had that much functionality. Recently it glitched and got stuck so that it won’t refresh to show the actual status of the car. After much time with tech support, they say we have to bring it into the dealer to get it reset. Which is not really how apps work. Overall, it’s more of a detriment than an asset to our experience owning a Leaf. I hope Nissan invests in upgrading soon.

Nissan not winning me over
I like that there is an app to monitor the battery status in the vehicle remotely, that I can set the climate control on a timer for comfort before I drive which also supports fuel conservation compared to heating/cooling it while I am in the vehicle, and I can start charging remotely if the car is plugged in and stopped charging for some reason. But I do not like that there is no way to stop charging if it’s near 80%, there’s no way to change or even review the charging timer settings from the app (actually have to be unplugged and the accessory power has to be on), and there is no way to set

NISSAN LEAF 2024
I can’t believe this app is not compatible with ALL Nissan electric cars!!! I bought a used Nissan Leaf 2024 from a NISSAN dealer and was told by your customer service line that I cannot use this app when I tried to sign up with my VIN number. Despite liking my car, NISSAN’s service has been awful! Dealership I bought from has basically washed their hands of me after I wrote the check.

Embarrassing
They clearly spend no effort on this app. The option to “keep me logged in” on the login screen - that’s just for show. It doesn’t do anything. Always unset when I start the app (and have to login each time) The fact that they can’t even save a setting tells you how little effort they put into this thing. But hey, at least if I really wanted to find out the current charge of my car, I can suffer my way through it.

Edit: they fixed the huge problem with the app forgetting your login every time! Still a mediocre app with no Siri integration but at least it’s functional now. Original review Jan 12, 2026: The app became garbage about a month ago when it completely lost the ability to remember your login. If you haven’t launched the app within the last hour, it logs you out and you have to enter your name and password every time you open the app. Extremely annoying.

Bad app getting worse
This was not a great app but at least it sometimes worked. I don’t know what changed but within the last couple months the app is incapable of staying logged in, forcing me to enter my password every time I open the app. This is extremely frustrating because “unnecessarily slow animations” is already a key design principle of the app, so to add an another manual step between me and the one button I want to press just adds insult to swoopy slowmoving injury.

Latest update forces a sign off and after you try to log in again you get a dialogue box linking you to the App Store to update the app; the problem is the app is already updated causing a perpetual loop where it is impossible to log in. App is currently useless on 16 pro max.

The app is making me log in every time I use it, even though I turn on the “keep me logged in” switch. I’ve had a Leaf for years and never had this problem until fairly recently. Any ideas? It’s very annoying.

I used to be able to set the “stay logged in“ switch and not have to login every time I start the app. However, now the app is forcing me to login each and every time I open the app regardless of setting the switch. This is a real nuisance.

The remote service is barely functional
The app is about as basic as basic can get. The app functions but it feels like it was kinda of an after thought. You can only control basic functions of the car. It would be nice if you could set all the scheduling for the car instead of sitting in the car to set them but you cannot. Also have run into an issue where the app will not auto login anymore which is very annoying.

Broken
Most of the time the app won’t get past the login screen. You enter your credentials and get an invalid credentials error. Force closing the app, recovering your password, changing your password all result in the same error when trying to log in. The only thing you can do is wait and hope it will work in a few minutes. Of course that is problematic when you’re trying to turn your climate control on for a few minutes to defrost your windshield before heading out. No indication of when this will be fixed by Nissan. Please fix credential remembering
Adding my own voice to the chorus complaining about the app forgetting our log-ins. Even when we check the “remember me” and “keep me signed in” boxes. Because there isn’t a way in-app to stop charging at 80% or set a charging timer (setting a charging schedule can be done from my Leaf’s dashboard, but it’s a little cumbersome), I have to open the app multiple times every time I charge outside a normally scheduled time to make sure I’m not overcharging and degrading the battery. That makes having to log in every time I open the app extra annoying. It would also be nice if the home screen with

Terrible app
This app worked fine until about a month ago. Now it logs me out every time, I have tried deleting and reinstalling, no improvement. If they enabled Face ID for login it would help, but as it is, I have to input a password any time I want to connect to my vehicle. This needs to be fixed, I’m paying for the service, but it’s terrible.
