Description

Puffin Cloud Browser is the client app that accesses the cloud server which runs the web browser. The Puffin client app and the Puffin cloud server do not communicate in HTTP protocol and the data exchange is not in HTML format. The Puffin client app is like the remote desktop client and the Puffin cloud server is like the remote desktop server. Puffin Cloud Browser gives the audience the illusion of a web browser but it is not, in reality, a web browser. This is the pro version of the app that requires $4.99 purchase. Similar to the free version, this app is also very unreliable. It’s very hit or miss often times it goes down and there is very little or no support. For example, I click the support icon when it goes down and it takes me to a page that does not load at all. I was very surprised because if this is a pro version and requires purchase, you would expect more service. it’s definitely the fact that it goes down so often that it makes it such a poor app if not, it works quite fast.

However, the current Recaptcha requirements to access websites like Google are proving to be a major inconvenience. Developers made their $$$ on this app and then abandoned it long ago! Used to be a great option for flash on mobile devices. Now it never loads and always says “outdated chrome browser” or doesn’t load anything at all. I paid good money for this. Now they’re discontinuing as of Jan 2023, so why make people pay for it?

Against my better judgement, I decided to give this app a chance. There were some old flash games that I really wanted to play again and I was hoping this app would allow me to do just that. So, despite the low ratings on the App Store, I decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, and probably to no surprise, I was very much disappointed. The app lasts maybe 5 minutes max before it crashes. Making it literally impossible to do anything. Let alone playing my old favorite flash games. 1. Its needs to make the settings more accessible which is annoying bc if I press wrong this by accident I have to start over to go back into settings instead of back one step. 2. This is easily the fastest browser I've ever used on iOS. This is my 3rd iPad I'm using it on and I'm so glad I decided to buy the full version all those years ago. The proxy service is flawless. I use it for streaming video and the built in media player is great and has very nice built in controls. Definitely worth every penny!

I’ve tried the others (waste of money) and this is the only one that works properly, especially with the mouse option. I recommend a two-finger tap for right-clicking. Doesn’t work anymore 2020
This browser serves no purpose anymore if I’m being blocked by every website. They say just take off add blocker I did it and still can’t log into any website. I reset the whole app and still nothing deleted reviewing and forgetting about such a unresponsive and in reliable browser. Just stick with safari so much easier never got blocked once on safari.

Flash not properly loading
Was trying to use this app as a way to let my child log into the full desktop version of webkinz and it doesn’t load all of the flash enabled video and login screens. I tried enabling mobile friendly and desktop mode but neither worked.
