A must-have for outdoors students and teachers
Simple, intuitive, and extremely useful app. I reference it anytime I am teaching knots or learning new ones. Organized very simply and easy to find new knots (many I had never learned/heard of) for specific activities. The “info” section on each knot is a GREAT resource too and helps narrow down what knots you need or would be better to use for whatever application you need.

I love it
I don’t sail as much as I used to, but I come back to this app every couple of months and, with a cocktail, I review all of the ones that I’ve ever used. You never know when they’re gonna’ be helpful! (I think this review has been sitting on my phone for a decade… And I still keep coming back to the app every couple of months. Best app/website for learning knots, hands down. Nothing else comes close. Needs social/text links so I can easily tell everyone about it—currently only allows users to “email a friend” which is kinda 2005. I regularly teach knot tying and line handling to recreational boaters with the United States Power Squadron. This app and its associated website are comprehensive, elegant, clear, and suitable for right- or left-handed (with the well-placed toggle). Users can vary the playing speed and pause on a particular step. The use of contrasting colored line and, where appropriate, line of different diameters, further enhances the utility. It’s surprising, even if you’re retired, how many times you are asked to lift heavy things, tie stuff down, control the beast, whatever. When paying, you loose a great feature.
Hello. I really enjoy using the website and one of my favorite features is the ability to the timing of how fast or slow the slides move. I decided to buy and pay for the app merely for support, only to find out that the app does not have that speed rate feature. What a bummer. Yes, I know that I can just press the next button over and over again but that defeat the whole purpose of beating able to keep my hands on the rope as I learn.
